  1. I always pop over here to watch the Oiler highlights after I watch the Leaf highlights. And I’ve come to realize that McDavid doesn’t even have a highlight reel. He just has his normal reel and everything on it is spectacular.

  2. Lightning just looked a little gassed, but that's expected after playing a back-to-back and 3 games in 4 days.

  3. The most amazing highlight here is the Hyman empty netter where 2 refs watch Stamkos hook and hold him the whole way up the ice and neither of them raise an arm.

  4. Wanted to thank ESPN for not having any females in the booth during the game. It wasn't the best broadcast but at least I could watch it. No problem with females doing the interviews, just don't want to hear the high pitch voices during the game with meaningless commentary.

  6. Fighting in the NHL is a joke, you want a fight get rid of the helmets, like H*ll if I’m going to brake a hand hitting a helmet

  7. I’m just gonna say this because obv they wanna protect McDavid, vasy had the easiest poke check save why McDavid was trying to get fancy on a break away.

  8. That was like watching a playoff game, lots of everything. Mind you the hook, slew foot, butt end and cross check all in the same play on McD, wasn’t enough for the referees to call 5 minute major they need to go back to referees school.

  9. If it wouldnt have been Tampa versus Colorado in the final last year, I honestly think Edmonton would have had an easier time against Tampa Bay in the final

  10. The last several games (going back a year or two) between these two teams have been fantastic. Always a good game to watch.

  11. Kucherov looked like he was gonna cry throughout the whole game. But then again, that's every game when his team isn't winning.

  12. The fans are the winners with a game like that. Two teams showcasing their stars and putting on a show. It’s a damn shame these teams don’t play each other more often.

  13. Perry is a p*ssy lol like it’s not a wrestling match is a fist fight

  14. Tampa defense were asleep the whole game. Oilers better hope there 2 man team don't get hurt before spring.

  15. The guy who isn't talked about nearly enough here — for me — is Vincent Desharnais!

He's been such a revelation for the Oil, or at the very least THE prospect of the last few weeks/this season (second still to Skinner??)!

6' 6'', rightshot, no-BS defender being trusted, 2 min before the end(!), to defend a narrow lead? — a rookie?!? (*)
    Ffs.! Thats something!
5 games, +5 (!), 3 assists (look at the first goal, here!).
Defensively dependable? Hockey IQ? Physicality? Right-shot? He's got it all!

So, SO very needed with these oilers!
Show that Nurse guy, how to box-out opponents from your crease! Maybe he'll learn a thing or two!

    Also…. Gotta love Klim Kostin!
Power forward, scoring beyond what was expected of him? Bringing an edge?
Love that Samorukov trade more and more by the week!
He's fought both (!) Kassian and Maroon (!) by this point, two (!) former "gotta use physicality to prove my worth" Oilers players… He's got the right mindset and the tools!
    Love it!
    Extend that guy!

*) granted, he's 26. took the long route… Like the last oiler (traded for from the Habs) with that same name (David Desharnais; btw.: Vincent took even longer than him to arive at the NHL!); as far as stature goes, they couldn't be any more different! (6' 6'' vs 5' 7'', RS vs. LS, D vs. C!)
(He WAS drafted, though, other than David! — "7th (!) round (EDM), 2016, 2nd pk (whatever that means…), 183 overall"!)
