Horvat, Boeser, Garland, Myers traded. Acquire good defensemen to surround Quinn Hughes. Miller and OEL are unmovable.
Blow it up, the team is stale. Horvat , Petterson , Kuzmenko having career years, Miller had one last year and they still have a losing record. I agree with Dan- trade some assets for different assets like Calgary did.
As a Devils fan (and someone that doesn't really know what he is talking about) the one thing I learned from the last few seasons into this one is that you don't build around a goalie. You don't want a big cap hit there that has such a high chance of being dead money, either because of health or just a drop off season. Instead, get an average goaltender or two. Then spend money on players that know how to keep chances to the outside and give that goalie a chance to not feel like the entire game sits on his shoulders.

Good regular season team and then get kicked around in the playoffs and we can't imprve because we have no cap space. I think it’s funny that it’s referred to as “Jim Rutherford’s retool” when it’s that idiot Aquilini forcing that rhetoric. It’s not a coincidence that he’s saying the same thing Benning did for years. The ownership group won’t let them do what they need to do to blow it up and rebuild properly. Buy out OEL next Year the Chaos Giraffe is off the Books. Trade Brock and Garland when u can. Bring in Silovs next year with Demko as the Starter. We can Trade Demko in a year if Silovs keeps Improving. Why do we try Trading these guys at there Lowest Market Value ie Brock Garlie Demko? My 2 Bits Feel free to Respond .

I'm a life long Canuck. I feel like this team needs a real leader. Look at every team that has won the cup in the last decade. They all have a leader they respect and fear. A leader they wanna fight for. Until this team has a clear and fearless leader. They are doomed to fail.
