Screw the Vancouver Canucks and the way they’ve treated this gem. He’s one of us and should be supported with absolute respect. I hope the Leafs hire him in some capacity and bring this Toronto boy home… he deserves a golden handshake.. the whole of Vancouver should be a little ashamed at his recent treatment. Appalling.
You used to watch him play for the NB Hawks back in the day. 81? I may be wrong. They won the Calder that year.
My father grew up playing hockey with his brother. And when Bruce made the leafs he would always bring everyone down to the gardens to watch the game. Even while on the road of his brothers team were in a tourney anywhere close he always made sure to get them tickets. Even paid for the hotel I’m pretty sure.
Dumb inner monologue: I always mixes up Bruce Boudreau and Randy Carlyle for some reason…
The only reason he isn’t already on the Leafs payroll is because Keefe vetoed him getting hired as an assistant coach.
He didn’t want the media to have that noose sitting ready.
