Not too mad, they got goalied

  2. GlockGuy-

    6-14 in their last 20 games…..fucking ouch!

  3. culturedrobot

Sucks that we couldn’t get the comeback but I’m impressed we went empty net for almost four minutes without anything disastrous happening

  4. Salamangra

These goddamn fucking red wings waste my time then give me arrhythmias. Just damn it. I’m so frustrated with Detroit sports.

  5. bandofgypsies

Crazy last play, but definitely should not have come down to that. Whatever. Let’s go Red Wings

  6. GronkSSBM

This team needs bedard and we’re getting him

  7. coltron57

I don’t care that it wasn’t a goal, but that was insane from Raymond to catch that as clean as he did.

That being said, still disheartening to not score a single goal this game with Husso in the net. There’s too much talent on this roster to be so anemic offensively lately.

  8. TheNation55

You can tell who the people are that came out of the woodwork for this season when they say we shouldn’t be losing to a team that now has more points than us.

  9. isavedlatin40

Super bummed we couldn’t get that win for Husso

  10. xenonwarrior666

Fuck Cater Hart but damn he had a good night.

  11. ucntseemoi

Some games the puck doesn’t bounce your way. Yeah the refs should have gotten the game under control, but Hart played a fucking phenomenal game.

  12. jfstompers

Columbus, Arizona and Philly in the last 10 days…..1point.

  13. Shotokanguy

It’s like they keep forgetting that they have another gear when they really need goals. They spend 55 minutes grinding on the boards, rarely getting a shot on goal, but when they realize they’re about to lose…

  14. Mendoza8914

Raymond made a crazy diving play to keep it alive and then showed great hand-eye to get a shot off. I’m glad he was able to score, he’s been great.

But I’m pissed we lost to Torts.

  15. zze0001

The result is bad but they controlled a lot of this game. Lost the game on two brain dead mistakes. Tough. Really need someone other than Raymond to be scoring consistently. Finishing continues to be bad.

I know I feels shitty having pretty much the same points at this point as last year, but last year the wings were shut out eight or nine times, that’s 10% of the season not scoring.

They are doing so much better this year.

  17. non_target_eh

I’m ready to get downvoted for my opinions.

•Yzerman rushed the rebuild, we are stuck with bad contracts in Chiarot and Copp.

•Team is *just* good enough to stay out of the lottery, preventing us from getting elite goalscoring talent that we desperately need.

•Think it can be rectified if we can tank the rest of the year.

•Go ahead downvote me, I’ll take it.

  18. famouss21

59 minutes and 20 seconds into the game, we figured out how to score a goal. truly an elite hockey team we are blessed with.

Let’s get bedarded in here 🎵

  21. xenonwarrior666

This team is far better than last year even if the standings don’t show it.

I think last year 80% of the time we gave up an empty net goal and scored 10% of the time.

We still have dead weight on the team which hopefully will be swapped out next year.

  22. ervelee

Takes hearty fans to stay positive.

  23. drinkwineandscrew

Very frustrating game. Once again if the wings don’t get a good bounce on their scoring chances, they struggle to create. If one of those (relatively low percentage) deflection/slot half chances go in, I think we’re looking at a different game.

Both goalies delivered strong performances to keep the score low, Philly blocking a LOT of shots. Small errors and turnovers hurt the team again.

Can’t fault the effort and compete level, and they created chances, but needed something more than we got.

Ras, Walman, Cool, Berggren had good games, tough night at the office for Kubalik.

  24. carry_that_weight_

Wonder if there is any hope for the rest of the season…

  25. VenomhawkNL

We suck. It’s been 7 years since we made the playoffs & we’re soon going to hold the longest playoff drought if nothing changes.

  26. Littlestguru88

Future is still bright. 4th most cap space and 6th youngest team in the league

  27. ForkzUp

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Mick is a fucking treasure and we are lucky to have him.

  28. noodleandbanter

Hart on Raymond at the buzzer is save of the week. I also especially love the Rasmussen play that got some coverage for going off the defender’s leg, but the way Ras reads the room and makes space for himself to be open first, and then the bounce actually happens? Fantastic.

  29. eclarke10

On lighter news it looks as if Vrana will be back in time for the last 15 games remaining in the season to absolutely dominate and leave us reeling for more only to disappoint us by needing some crazy surgery that will sideline him next season until the last 15 games…..🤣

  30. xenonwarrior666

I didn’t know Lalonde knew Bruce.

Maybe he ends up with the Wings organization after all.

Makes for a good rumor anyways.

Does anyone else just immediately downvote without reading the whole comment if it begins “I’m probably going to get downvotes, but…”?

I always manage to find it within myself to oblige. You’re welcome.
