This would be ridiculously stupid. He’s a very slow, very bad player, neither of which are typically successful in the playoffs.

It’s amazing to me how this team seems to consciously still try to build like it’s the 70s – 80s and just ignore speed / skill.

    *Grit I guess…

This would completely ignore the fact he was on Toronto 18 months ago and was given every opportunity known to man to play in their top 6 with Matthews Marner Tavares and Nylander to just stand in the front of the net and be “big and tough”… and he couldn’t do that so significantly that Toronto traded him within 3 months of signing the contract.

Hard pass. This would be like giving up actual assets to have someone be a better Sammy Blais. How about we get a winger who could actually function in the top 9 like we did last deadline?

Why? Why?? What would be the benefit of signing a shrek look a like?

He has $2.5 mil contract and is currently overpaid by [$2 mil](https://imgur.com/a/pPoYYIi). GTFO out of here with adding a goon squad. We need SCORING not pylons. FFS we are playing vesey and goodrow as top 6 players and you think we need this?

This ain’t doomer, it’s realistic. We’re not winning shit with this roster or with moves like this, or with Gerard.

It’s like they are trying to make the team worse. First, let’s trade a 1st line winger for a 5th line grinder. Now, who are we going to give up for this pylon?
