  1. Just watched the Canucks management introduce Rick Tocchet as the new coach. It fills me with great hope that the GM Patrik Allvin states that neither himself nor Rick Tocchet are the smartest guys in the room. What a clusterfuck of a management team. Is there a way to fire owners lol?

  2. Too many swedes, russians, and Americans, should be strictly Canadian bois, Americans hate canada , so i think miller sabotaging us.

  3. I was expecting this. This is their coach. Start winning and this fan base changes quick.

  4. Remember when there was a fight between agualini and gaglardi to buy the canucks? Wonder how thingsnwould have turned out if the gaglardis owned the club. They went and bought the dallas stars..

  5. Badly handled all around, but, I will speculate that maybe they feared someone else hiring Tochett. I would have gone the interim route myself. I still get the vibe that the owner can’t help himself to not meddle.
They need to blow it up, keep a few quality players but the current mix is wrong.
Tochett is not my pick, but not offensive.
I look forward to seeing who is moved out and who comes in. Those changes are welcome in my mind.

  6. I don't believe Jim's story about anticipating keeping Bruce for the season. I didn't think they gave him any chances with the roster and they never gave him any support from day one.

  7. Bryan Burke once quipped that "the GM only gets to fire the coach once", because after that it's essentially your fault.
I believe Rutherford and Alvinn's days might be numbered because by the time they fire Tocchet, it'll be their fault.

  8. Mr. Bruce Boudreau hit the nail on the head, when asked, 'Why are you still coaching this team today?' – Canucks management / ownership is SO DISGUSTINGLY SELF-CONCERNED over this decision, they let Boudreau coach out the games vs: Tampa, Edmonton, et al, to let the 'new guy' start with a bunch of lesser competition: Boudreau – "Maybe because the next three games are Chicago, Seattle and Columbus"; EXACTLY, all teams The Canucks have a LOT BETTER CHANCE to beat. Won't that look good for the 'new guy', coming, competing in the 1st three games of his hiring? Kudos to Mr. Boudreau for calling out the political set-up. The Canucks current management team and ownership have acted disgustingly.

  9. I wonder if Samfiru/Timarken have contacted Bruce Boudreau to get him a good severance package?
If Bruce followed Alvinn's PIP (performance improvement plan) then the two week improvement ultimatum isn't Bruce's fault.

  10. I've played minor hockey for enough jerks and if I got shortchanged or didn't get to play, some executive would say that they were "keeping me safe" or "protecting" me, even though there wasn't any actual threat to my safety.
It's somewhat of a tactic by executives to make themselves look like protectors.

  11. The 3 Stooges Era has begun. The word Jack -A-ss comes to mind. If you don't win more than 50% of your games ,You all should be FIRED !!!

  12. Aquilini is NOT phased by this situation, much like he's not phased by allegations of abuse by his family. He has enough money to spit in God's face and tell him "Go clean yourself up for God's sake", not sure anything could really get him bothered.

  13. You guys missed one valuable point. It's almost like Boudreau was sabotaged because he wasn't Rutherford and Allvin's guy. They didn't help him succeed, they threw him under the bus. Then they say he's losing so they have to fire him. They set him up to fail. Instead of doing what they could to help him win, for the sake of the team and the fans, they pouted because he wasn't their guy. That is the despicable part. Now, to Canuck fans this season is shot, so let's celebrate the tank. Get as good a shot at Bedard as they can. If Tocchet comes in and loses a bunch of games, then he hasn't helped matters, so why can Boudreau? If he wins and gets them to within a few points of the playoffs by the end of the season, to ensure the team has a lousier draft pick, then he has failed there too. They should have kept Boudreau til the end of the season. It's bad enough they sabotaged him this season, let him play the f***ing season out. The entire organization looks like crap now, including Frankie Aquilini. Why hire a president who doesn't like the coach? Hire a f#@king president who will work with him. They had better write this season off at this point, and embrace the tank.

  14. One thing, and I've been Very Critical of them, is, I really think that They'd (Rutherford And Allvin) Hoped That Things Would Turn Around So They Could Keep Bruce Boudreau. But, I'm still of the opinion that They Should Have Explained It To Him, and, Put Him Out Of His Misery, If Nothing More Than To Spare Him All Of The Anguish. Let me know what you think

  15. Why did Tocchet delete his Twitter? Because, it was full of stupid embarrassing stuff…………which means he is a moron.

  16. Disappointed that Alvin was not asked in the press conference if he feels that the group of players he assembled for Boudreau are good enough to compete for the playoffs. Ultimately he has done nothing significant as a GM so why should BB be expected to succeed with a poorly built team?

  17. 43:27 Is this going to turn out to be Keenan/Messier part 2? A time that future Canuck fans will look back at this current management team, and think that they were a fricking disaster, and wonder what the hell ownership was thinking in bringing them in?

  18. I've never been more embarrassed to be a Canucks fan and that's saying alot. This organization has no direction whatsoever, management and the owner don't even realize why the fans are angry. I just hope the Canucks can keep tanking until the end of the year at this point. Hopefully they trade Bo at the TDL for a package that makes the team better in the future, not for some 24yr old reclamation project that went high in the draft years ago. I truly hope any fans that attend any future games chant "sell the team" or anything similar to that.

  19. Rutherford and Allvin two poor choices by ownership. Tocchet another poor choice with limited coaching experience and a losing record.
