I dont think we need to talk about it being a 3rd string goalie.
Sometimes you just need a palate cleanser and shit kick a team. We still have our problems but for now, lets just enjoy the refreshing ass whooping. And try to continue it Wednesday and Friday and go into the ASG on a high note

the year is 2026. Shesterkin has become so good at shooting for the empty net that opponents have stopped pulling the goalie against the Rangers. Shesty doesn’t care. He now scores while the goalie is still in the net. Life is good.

Whether it was a third string or a starter, they needed this kind of win more than anything and I am so damn happy they all came out flying. Really hate that Igor didn’t score tho I just about leapt out of my seat the second attempt

On a serious note, I’m super impressed with Panarin’s defense this season. Not that he’s ever been inept on that side but he’s shown much more willingness to backcheck, take guys out of the play, and have his stick in the right position
Man that game was sick, I started freaking out following the puck from shesty when he launched it to the EN and then seeing it miss by inches I felt a gut punch, I can’t wait to see him get the ENG one of these days. What a game let’s fucking go rangers and let’s kick some ass in Toronto on Wednesday!

Something about the way the Kid Line forechecks and cycles is so satisfying. It’s always been fun, but if they start breaking into the slot or finding the seam they’re going to be very successful.
And credit where it’s due, Gallant played them more than the Trocheck line.
