  1. Is what it is. Not terribly happy about it but I was never gonna be in a merkley trade. In my mind merkley at worst is gonna be a 5/6 defenseman who can either run your pp or be a 1st line PP quarterback on your second pair. Like what I see if he plays in Colorado.

    Neito for Macdonald. We’re short on D so a sideways trade for need. Same here I would of liked a pick. But if they think they need another d to keep players where they want them I understand. Though i think you could of got a 6th or a 7th on top as nieto’s having a good year.

    Kaut hopefully finds his game or a role he can succeed in. I don’t know much about his game. So can’t speak on him. But hoping he works out.

  2. I'm good with Merkley/Kaut part, makes sense. It's the Nieto for a fringe NHL defenseman that makes no sense to me. Nieto was definitely worth some sort of a pick, and I'll take that over a nobody defenseman any day.
