I'm a bruins fan and I have been getting more and more sick of Jack Edwards. I've started actually being relieved when TNT has the game because it means Ill be spared a few eye roll inducing comments that brick has to correct, sloppy commentary that makes it harder to follow the play sometimes, and him freaking out everytime the refs do anything to a bruin other than call the most blatant indefensible penalty.

i thought Pat Maroon was an enforcer and know for a fact he never stops chirping everyone, and this photo tells me Jack is genuinely apologizing while Pat wont even look him in the eyes. I know whats going on here. Gonna go ahead and say if he gave him the silent treatment and/or is holding a grudge, it IS immature. It happened 2 months ago, it wasn’t even that big of a deal (I completely forgot about it and I’m sure many others did if they even noticed in the first place), and Maroon already took the high road with the donation. So yes, I think rejecting his apology would be petty and childish.

I personally don’t think it’s a big deal but it wasn’t directed towards me and Pat has every right to feel upset. Jack could have apologized in the beginning but he sidestepped what he actually said and then made a public comment that was weak. From what I know about pat he is pretty stand up down to earth classy guy. If he thought Jack was genuinely apologetic I think it would have been enough but again we are all just guessing. Hopefully this story is dead.

Intentional misreading of my intent ran rampant.” Sounds like he’s just saving face. What else are you implying saying someone is eating pizzas and potentially gaining weight? That they consider a fast 4 hours between meals? Jack Adams is not sensitive to the subject, If you are sensitive to the subject then you would know the correlation between mental illness and body image. He’s an old dude that’s tone deaf.

Yes, Pat Maroon was all about standing up for Phil Kessel and Nick Ritchie when the league, reporters and fans shit on them for being a keg on skates. He was all over Twitter donating to the cause he clearly feels so passionate about. Oh… wait.. no he wasn’t… 3 Stanley cups and millions of dollars and the man donates 2k?!?! Not even the max fine allowed by the PBA… yes let’s applaud a man for tweeting about it as well instead of just donating without public approval. To me it’s clear he wanted the attention at a minimum cost of 2k and a tweet. Jack did the right thing. He offended someone (even with the metaphorical intention of saying he is a Unit of a man) apologized and the title to the video says it gets worse?!? Terrible title. Literally does the right thing and people call him pathetic, if he didn’t apologize he’d be a fat shamer. You can’t win in todays society when u make a human error. Die hard Bruins fan here and I have hated Jack Edwards from day one. I only watch NESN if I can’t find the other teams feed. His voice and play by play are like nails on a chalkboard.
People in Boston can’t stand Jack Edwards. Too bad Patty didn’t tune him up. I literally watch Bruins games with the sound off for the past several years. No clue how management likes this guy.
I give Jack Edwards props for being willing to face the music like this. Not everyone would have had the guts to go face to face with a big tough guy like Maroon who had reason to be pissed at you.
On a serious side note Edwards really sounds like he got a stroke some time ago. If you don't believe me search for footage of Edwards 10 years ago and more recent footage. He is extremely slow while pronounciating words, sometimes is "lagging" while describing what's happening, and sometimes it's like he's mixing words or doesn't understand what's going on at all. And this goes beyond the old Jack Edwards being pro-Bruins thing. It's actually painful and quite pathetic to hear and I don't understand why he's still on air despite this. At some point you have to call it quits and focus on yourself IMO. With all due respect.

I absolutely despise the Boston commentary. They are atrociously biased it is gross to listen to. I wouldn't even say it is commentating, more like obsessed fans talking about the game. Every call against Boston is the wrong call, every bad hit a Boston player does is considered a golden hit in their eyes. It honestly is unprofessional in my mind.
