I think I’m more of a field hockey guy after all

  3. nickpegg

Really thought the announcers were going to jynx the shut out there at the end

  4. AFreePeacock

Weak effort, see you in ten 👋

  5. jackstalke

Partied a little too hard last night, maybe

  6. nickpegg

We didn’t allow an empty net goal.

  7. TheNation55

Shut out by a team that hasn’t participated in the 3rd period in 11 games.

  8. jaredsurreddit

Finally got some good goaltending and they had to face Sorokin.

  9. dudewithchronicpain

I don’t know what I was expecting on a back to back

  10. jfstompers

1 win in your last 11 games, haven’t scored a third period goal since last year, play the Wings and fix your problems

  11. tfoxsail

Shoulda passed out pillows to the team (and dads, apparently lol) tonight.

4 games in 6 days back to back with travel and a border crossing. I get it but boy would have like a little more effort then what we got.

  13. Educational_Series68

I hope they have a good break and then come back and find something worthwhile. I didn’t see that entire game, but that 3rd was boring as hell.

The Wings all-time record on the ‘Dad’s Trip’ must be absolutely terrible. We were losing these games even back when this team was good.

  15. Ydoesany1doanything

At least they didn’t get an empty netter?

  16. CarlinHicksCross

Obviously super gassed, got goalied by an actual elite goalie, it’s whatever. Isles are a grindy team, but boy was that a boring game.

Bert looked better at times last game and for the first but boy his lows have been low this season. Getting tired of the lazy blind shove passes. The guy looks fuckin miserable out there.

Seriously one of the most fatigued and zoned out efforts I’ve ever seen from an NHL team. They’re human, it can happen. I just don’t know why it looked that bad. I’d be fascinated to see the analytics from this game to show just how utterly ineffective they were in every area of the game tonight.

  18. dudewithchronicpain

The mods removed my baby post for being low content yet Twitter reposts and other garbage are okay. we can’t have any fun in this sub.

Edit: I’ve been wanting to post him so bad because some folks in the subreddit are so supportive and nice and asking about him, and when I finally do the mods remove the post 🤷🏼‍♂️

Bit of a damp squib really.

Took too many penalties, didn’t apply enough pressure, and didn’t fight back after the first goal, had to wait until the second went in to show signs of life.

No real heroes or villains tonight, pretty much every player playing to their average level.

Time running out for Bert to put himself in the shop window come deadline day, may have to settle for a cheap picks haul.

Tough to outcompete when you’re on a back to back with travel, but the theme of the wings needing early puck luck to mount a winning game continues.

To anyone now going « This rebuild is gonna take forever, we’re not done yet! » Uh, did all of our top prospects suddenly die in an unfortunate smelting accident or something or what?

  21. DroppingThree

You can try to rationalize this loss all you want but the hard truth is the Wings are pretty easy to defend on most nights and don’t have a legitimate scoring threat every time he steps on the ice.

This team has a great SUPPORTING cast but do they ever need an influx of some high-end talent that can score.

  22. coltron57

At least Hellberg played well. I’ve really wanted to see him seize a roll for the first time in his career and he’s been decent this year for us. I think Money Puck had EVERY Wings skater under a 40% xGF% at 5on5…

  23. abassassasssin

Hellberg got a .931. So thats cool i guess

  24. Super_bossy

According to tankathon we have the toughest remaining sos

  25. zakksyuk

Boys just looked tired out there tonight. So many unforced errors and just garbage hockey by both teams. Had to shut her off after the 2nd goal.

  26. MrBright5ide

I had a problem with the broadcast replays. They did NOT show the penalties on the Redwings but showed many views of the ones on the Isles.
