Buffalo will be a nasty good team from 2025-2030. Their cup may come. Skinner lifting the cup again as vital part of team an unlikely prognosis two years ago. Thompson will be my new favourite player when ovie retires in 3-8 years.
I played through the same shoulder injury as caulfield when I was in high school. It is not fun. The more your shoulder comes out the more unstable it becomes. It was tough for me to play high school hockey with it. I can’t even imagine playing through that injury In the nhl

You already have what seems like a surefire 30 to 40 goal scorer for at least the next five or six years, but you want to trade him for an unknown asset who may or may not even make the NHL.
Sabres are keeping things lively this year. Granato is the right coach. Let the young guys grip it and rip it. Maybe we can bring back #4 Jerry Korab to help Krebs add some minerals to the Defense.

Are American players more injury prone than other players. Caulfield, Matthews & Beniers all in one video. Matthews can't play through a whole season without getting hurt.

No-one should ever get upset about any contract that can be fully buried in the minors. If they aren't working out on the NHL team, either they clear and get buried or they don't and get claimed 🤷

Ever since the losing streak, the Sabres have gone 19-8-3. The week and a half skid included. If they can do good enough through February, then we're playing meaningful games in March for the first time in years.

I love the point that some goaltending coaches in the NHL didn't have a stellar win/loss record, but they can teach the position well. It's interesting looking at every team's goalie coach because it's guys you wouldn't really suspect.

Sabres on a road trip so likely will get there…but when they come home will they stay there?.. Western road trip for most Eastern teams a challenge but probably not for Buffalo 🦬🦬…either way always a fun watch.
Not only are the Sabres 2 points behind the pens in as many games, we are 3 points back of the caps with 3 games in hand. And we have a few games in hand on the panthers.

Torona, in the meantime, remains having the same trouble The 'nucks do: not good enough D, and too much spent (physically and monetarily) on the forwards. (Not to mention, unsteady goalkeeping). Matthews will be seriously missed, and I can easily see this being that last season of Dubis / Shanny's tenure in the centre of the universe.
PS: Wouldn't that be an amazing Finals: Boston – Tampa… What a game that was; one of the best this season. I miss the 16 team playoffs format (whatever the travel schedules resulted in!). It was GREAT to never know who you were going to have to play, the BEST teams in the league had an honest shot at meeting in the finals, whatever division they were from, and The East didn't get to have a free ride, physically, all the way to the finals, practically (and sometimes literally) taking buses between their series, while The West slogged across the continent fighting each other in wars of attrition. BRING IT BACK! (I know, it will never come back…)

Actually, if you pop your shoulder back in before it starts to swell, it's not that painful. It gets painful afterward and then you can't put it back in yourself

I’m a long time Sabres fan. Loving the competitiveness and they at least have a shot at a playoff spot, which would make it a really successful season. They give up too many goals and they are too streaky. Already this year an 8 and a 6 game losing streak. If they had half of those points lost, they’d be in. Just being realistic, but I love the team.
