kind of annoying that we spend money to go see them play in town here and the fail to show up, like the colorado game, like the chicago game.. In fact, they’re perfectly capable of showing up when they want to.

I don’t really watch other sports much, or even other teams, so I’m sure this happens to everyone to some extent but…
The Flames really seem to have a mental problem with playing down to the level of their competition. It’s been like this forever, through different regimes and rosters, so I guess it’s just a fact of life in sports. There’s certainly some teams (Boston this year comes to mind) where you can rely on them putting the beatdown on lesser opponents though. Maybe that mental stability is what separates good from great.

The inconsistency is consistent for the Flames. Like over the last 10 years, with the exception of perhaps two seasons.
