Just to put in because I was at the game last night: at 0:48ish the “Bruce there it is” chants were Canucks fans gathered behind the south goal. They were joined by some of our fans in support. It’s tough to be rivals when you feel this bad for your neighbors team. Vancouver deserves more and I hope we get to an epic rivalry where we can give each other a go in god faith. But while (I think) we were happy to have the win, and celebrate our 1st over Vancouver there was not a lot of trash talking in the stands. From where I was it was mostly commiseration and well wishing in the future so we can get to trash talking in the future.
The Aquilinis' dabble too much in team operations and management I believe. You own the team yes, but stop making the stupid mistakes then. Why do you think Linden left? The Aquilinis didn't leave him to do the job.
Mechanic analogy:If the body(team/organization)is still good, sometimes the engine(offense)and transmission(defense)have to go, start with 1 player from each side(offense/defense)and build around with wingers, players who compliment them and the team's vision/goals, line by line if need be, but usually the others get the message, also not a good idea to give up 5 or 6 goals a game(defensive or netminders issues), you don't have to listen,just trying to help,with love,the nerds🤣go nhl go💙

Attention all fans of bad NHL franchises: Conor Bedard will not save your team. Hockey is a team sport. If your organization sucks at drafting, or trades away draft picks for loans or band aid solutions in order to “win now”, then one player, one even as good as Bedard is projected to be, is not going to be enough.
Vancouver is the type of team to tank, get the #1 overall pick, and then draft Alek Stojanov again. This time he's ready!

Getting Bedard would be sweet but that won't fix what's wrong with this team at all. Defense is garbage and as much as I like Demko he isn't good enough to be a starter in my opinion. There is so much wrong with this team that anything less than blowing the whole thing apart and starting over is gonna help.
They need to strip TJ miller of the A and get him off the team asap. Just a cancer on the bench and a liability on the ice
