Do you see the devils goong for Timo Mierr and if so do you think be good fit
Possibly adding Meier, and adding Luke Hughes at the end of Michigan’s season could make them a giant pain come playoff time
I love you
As a devils fan for my entire life and watching the last decade I am still being pessimistic about this season just waiting for the crash, however with that said we want the cup
Devils winning the cup before rangers
Thanks Xfinity and MSG for not letting us New Jersey residents watch the Devils on TV. Greedy pigs. Let's go Devils! Vanecek IS a netminder I trust between the pipes in the playoffs.
As A devils fan, I was not expecting a good year. Was not expecting to even make it to the playoffs. Would love to see us bring the cup home again, but realistically, I am happy with getting past the 1st round. lol
Happy for VV (and Sammy)
I remember saying last year it had to be the year for the Devils to make a step forward. Was just a year off. Love watching this team. Was really thinking the rebuild would never end
This years Devils remind me of the early resurgent Leafs right after they drafted Matthews. They're seeing shocking levels of success from a relatively untested team, and I do fully expect that to fall apart on them in the playoffs. In the first round I would expect to see some fairly low-scoring games being the decided winner here, unless they face some other relatively untested squad like the Sabres somehow.
This is Great we are kicking ass!!! And most likely gonna get Timo Meier too, LGDDD! 🖤🔥🔥🔥🔥😈 LETS GOOO DEVILS! Timo Meier on our team going into the playoffs would also be everyone’s worst nightmare! Lol we are probably gonna snag The Shark 🦈 Timo from SJ!
How do you feel about the fact that they keep needing to come from behind to win? It’s great to be able to, but I can’t imagine that it’s healthy or sustainable long term
My Team The Devils 😈 are for real this year because of 2 factors alone there heart ❤️ for the Game is unmatched & also there resilience is unmatched!!! They never give up that is 2 quality traits of a Stanley Cup Contending Team! 🖤🔥
I believe we have 16 comeback wins are 11-0-1 against the Pacific Division this year! Also we have swept all of Canada this year on the road, did a full sweep of Cali teams etc.
It’s just the tip of the iceberg with all the talent coming up, this team will be really dangerous in 2/3 years times.
I'd be happy if Lindy got a cup
They are for real but struggling as play gets more physical. I think they'll pull it together with a big addition and some time to rest. The good news is they win even when playing poorly. In other words, they can score goals. If they trade for a good partner for Hughes, and the bottom six start producing more, they could make a run at the cup.
Love your Chico Resch jersey. I had his home jersey back when he was between the pipes. This Devils team is exciting because of the way Fitzgerald has built it. Hughes is coming into his own and more importantly, Hischier has found his game. The defense is solid again with contributions from Hamilton and we haven't even seen Luke or Nemec hit the ice. This does remind me of '94/95 though. In '94 they were a juggernaut that I thought should have beaten the Rangers. Then they won it all the next year. I have a feeling this team will go very far this year but not win it until next year after everyone has had some playoff experience and raised expectations. Either way, they should be competitive for years to come. Fitz should really be considered for Executive of the Year.
I think they're a great team and they could do well in the playoffs. However, I watch every game, and I see glaring weaknesses that will probably be exploited come playoff time, assuming they don't correct it by then. Many of their recent wins weren't team efforts, but rather coasting off high end talent and goaltending. I could see them winning a series or be first round exits. Not sure. Really hope they tighten up by then.
Dallas vs New Jersey faceoff for the 2023 Stanley Cup. Rematch from 2000!
Or, Colorado vs New Jersey. Either would make for a great series. Good work as always Shannon, my question is how do your batteries keep up with you?? 😂
Surprised you were so positive about Wood & Graves returning. Fitzgerald will need to be very thoughtful with Cap management here with Bratt, Mercer, Sharangovich contracts on the horizon. Wood, while popular in NJ, is certainly a player I can see being overpaid elsewhere, Fitzgerald wont chase that one. Graves, while a better fit, will likely be able to obtain better term elsewhere. With Hughes, Mukhamadullin, Casey & Nemec on the way and Hamilton, Siegenthaler & Marino locked up, I'm not sure Fitzgerald will be willing to match. Once LHughes is ready to move up from third pair, does Graves become the LD3 behind Siegenthaler? As well as Graves fits now, he may be odd man out 2 / 3 years from now.
