Dont want him, especially with the rumoured asking price…and with the rumour that Drury doesnt want to trade any of our first rounders, I am thrilled going into this TDL.

good, he’s been horrible this year. i dont think a change in scenery would help him be any less of a traffic cone

think this fan base is delusional if you don’t think kane makes this team significantly better
MyNameIsLegend
Brooksie is right that Kane isn’t an option.
Don’t know much about Tanner Jeannot, but from Brooks’ description of him (and a cursory look at his hockey-ref page) he’s triggering my « Buch-for-JoshAnderson » allergic reaction by mentioning a 1 for 1 with Kravtsov.
Kravtsov is good, he just needs his chance to consistently show it. His defensive impact is already one of the best on the team, let him get some confidence and show off his offensive game.

When was he a fit?

I don’t want Kane. He’s on pace for his lowest full-season point total, and the price would be way too high for a rental player.

Just give this a shot and see what happens. If Kravtsov shows he can score it can save us some assets we’re going to need. Then just get Motte and maybe a D man and move Goodrow to center on the 4th line.

Not that I want Kane (Cause I don’t) – but just remember that this is an opinion piece and there is no sources confirming that the Rangers have no interest (or even interest at that point) in Kane.

He’s gonna force his way onto the Sabres.

Personally i would not like kane, dude is passed his prime, and would be a ticket draw based on name alone. No disrespect to the greatest american hockey player of all time, but hes not right for this team. That said, im wondering who would be a good fit. The first winger that comes to mind is William Nylander, i could see him doing well on this team however i am admittedly ignorant towards cap space and if we could even afford him
leavemealoneplz69
Duh. Haven’t watched much of Chicago so I’m purely basing this of stats but if this was prime Kane it would be reasonable. I think if we were a much better team that needed a piece to be real contenders, I would roll the dice on him because of his resume especially in the playoffs. But as we look now, we would need prime Kane for a chance to make a deep run.

Kane would be the wrong fit on so many levels. Past his prime, not a shooter and locker room headache and a cap problem too.

That line would score goals.
It will give up more goals than scored though.

I get the whole Panarin-Kane chemistry but I fear you’d have to play a Ryan Carpenter with them so they can get out of their own zone. I’d pass. I want a pure shooter.

Kane’s effectiveness on the Rangers would probably be somewhere in the middle of this subs expectations. He likely wouldn’t be a silver bullet, we’d probably sacrifice defense on whatever line he’d play, he’d cost too much, and for all of that he would still make the team better than they are now. How much better? Who can say.
Imo the biggest draw of a Kane trade is that he has known chemistry with Panarin who seems to have none with anybody since Strome left. For that reason, that’s a trade that *could* be greater than the sum of its parts.
Still think it’s a bad opportunity cost when we could spend the same assets on more depth players.

Good. Fuck Patrick Kane.
Kyle Beach was targeted with homophobic slurs and taunts by his teammates after being sexually harassed by a member of the Blackhawks organization. Assuming Patrick Kane wasn’t a part of it himself, there’s no way he didn’t see it, meaning he sat back and did nothing about it. Then, when everything came to light, he defended the very people who covered it up.
We don’t need that piece of shit. If anything, he should go to the Predators.

All it takes is one headline…”Kane open to trade but only to rangers” and all this leverage the hawks think they have goes out the window. Kanes camp has made several attempts at getting him to the rangers over the years , they’ll try again this year .

>But the guy I would target, ahead of any of these options, is Nashville’s 25-year-old physical winger, Tanner Jeannot, a pending restricted free agent who will come with arbitration rights off an expiring contract worth an AAV of $800,000.

Sometimes the best moves are the ones that you don’t make… I fully hope this is a move we avoid. We’re not a Kane away from winning it all this year.
