The King’s actually played pretty well. Fast and disciplined. Both teams play a clean, offensive ballstothewall style of offense. Both are capable of putting four goals on the board in one period. The Canes are known for second period letdowns but definitely for third period play. I almost needed oxygen just sitting in the stands. Cardiac Canes indeed. From what little I’ve seen of the Kings this season, I would predict they will finish first or second in their division. Classy road fans around us—friendly and respectful. And it wasn’t lost on me in one play at the whistle when a Canes player had lost his stick, the Kings player standing next to it lifted it up with the blade of his stick for the Canes player. These guys are all in a big fraternity of the cream of the best hockey players in the world. Good to see sportsmanship is alive and well in the NHL.
I really wish we could have seen Necas in the 3v3 all-star game. He would have been insane!!!!! Plus he would have destroyed McDavid in fastest skater. Aho should be there as well. How does the team in 2nd place over all only have one player in the all-star game and the Rangers and Islanders have multiple??????? We see right through you NHL! For the last 3 years the Canes have been at the top of the league and continue to only have one player representing them. It's a joke!
