Such a W of a trade. Chucky is young and a monster. So glad we have him locked up. We’re super pressed against the cap this year, but the starting next year it gets so much better.
I got lambasted by panthers fans for saying this last year. Called for his trade 2 years ago lol
I remember in the days after the trade went down i was saying how i thought the panthers won the trade and flame fans were very quick to tell me how wrong i was😂

Lol the comments are awesome to read, at first when I saw the trade I was ecstatic as I’ve watched Huberdeau in juniors and I thought we fleeced Florida and the preseason showed flashes of what I saw in juniors but then the season started and I wondered and if we traded Tkachuk straight up then I’d totally think Florida fleeced us but then you gotta think Weegar that guys a monster for us on the top d line and the 1st pick gave us Kadri. Scwindt is still in the minors but he may be trade bait to someone else…hopefully huby can come back but super happy with Weegs and we’re a d happy team anyways

They still won the trade when accounting for weegar and the rest. Weegar alone makes more difference than tkachuk.
