We’re sitting with the 8th worst record in the league. It’s sucked for 51 games, let’s embrace the suck for 31 more games and roll the dice in the lottery.

This team has a really unique opportunity to tank for one year and get $15 million off the books with ROR and Vladi. This draft class is loaded. I’m really intrigued to see what happens.

Friends of mine (non blues fans) point to the cup run without knowing how fundamentally different the teams are between this year and then. But I was listening to The Point on nhl radio on Sirius. They pretty much called the season for the blues, drawing a line in the western conference between playoff hopefuls and “it’s over” between the Blues and Preds. Which is accurate.
The interesting thing was they kept hinting that the blues were hoping to possibly retain/resign ROR now or in the off season – then made the good point that it’d likely only happen if ROR signs for a “hometown” discount.
At least the Habs tank was publicly planned.
Edit: The worst thing about this? The front office and coaching staffed planned for a season of with a playoff run. Scary how much they missed the target.
Now we just need to suck harder!

The difference is basically our horrible team defense. Crazy how Van Ryn still is employed.
We have some great talent, it just doesn’t feel like they’re emotionally invested/united.
