  1. Idk if they need to, pacoretty out for the yr but only played like 2 games anyway. They r 1 of the most complete teams if not the most complete. Probably not worth it for them

  2. As a fan that watches the Canes regularly I can tell you Coghlan has been bad – getting beat for goals multiple times per game and Slavin is expected to be back after the break. He’s not on LTIR.

  3. The sticking point with Jarvis is that the organization is hoping that he becomes Aho 2.0 since Aho's next contract may price him out of Carolina. I don't see a package with both Jarvis and a first included, but I can see Don actively wanting to shop Coghlan and KK. If the Bo sweepstakes gets too expensive I could see O'Reilly from St. Louis coming over if they turn into sellers.

  4. carolina needs to realize that if they dont pick up a big goal scorer by the deadline its just going to be like every year…second round exit in the playoffs.

  5. I say if we can get Horvat then I’d part with Jarvis for that. I do think he’s more of a “Rod type” player than Timo but I think Timos style and creativity would meet way better in Carolina, just wonder if he could keep it consistent.

  6. It's really hard to say what the right call is. There's a podcast I listen to where the guy mentions that a lot of the moves that Carolina has made is like "rearranging the deck chairs" meaning different players come and go but the overall quality is still the same but not improved. But it's a big risk and it could bite you in the ass. Martin Necas was a sub 20 goal scorer last season and people were saying he would be someone the team should consider trading but they kept him and now he's the team's leading point producer and basically on pace with Svechnikov and (slightly behind) Aho. If he got traded this past off season and had a season like he's having with the Canes for another team, the GM would inevitably look silly for trading him. You neeever know, man. Jarvis could be that guy next season but at the same time, the argument for a trade would be valid because a trade like that would help right now. I certainly don't envy Don Waddell right now.

  7. I doubt they give up Jarvis. I wonder if it’s possible to get one of these guys without giving up a roster player
