kasperi kapanen can be a top 6 guy if him and rust switch kap be with geno and zuck thats where he played his best in 2021 i think when we first got him, Kapanen and geno had great chem that year
the next month will be a kick in the teeth for the pens. they play: COL, ANA, LAK, SJS, NYI, NJD, NYI, EDM, STL, TBL, NSH & TBL. then it is the trade deadline. that 12 games where they could lose more than they win. if buf gets hot, pens are out of the playoffs. they need a change NOW and multiple. or….. just say screw it and be sellers at the dead line
The Pens need to trade for Alex Nedeljkovic. He's a UFA after this season. His price is low. Detroit has no need for him with Husso and Helberg. His salary this year was 3mil and only played a handful of NHL games. He's more than capable if you can't or don't want to sign Jarry, plus he would love to beat Carolina. They could get him for a 2nd Round Pick plus a player.
There HAS to be a shake up. Being just good is not going to crack it. Really wish the pens pulled the trigger on bo horvat to boost the third line. Another goaltender to the roster is another concern but the hard thing being that there really aren’t that many solid ones available. Demko is a question mark player but tbh id rather have him instead of Desmith.
