If it’s anything like the rest of the Toronto MSM: despite having a series of poor games, Rielly is unscrupulous, yet despite having excellent seasons, Sandin and Liljegren didn’t look very good vs Boston so they’re clearly busts and should be traded for late round picks.

Add Reilly in the package for Timo. I think he’s the Leaf’s DeMar, in that they can’t win with him, but can use him to get what they need to win.

I like taking a run at Chychrun but we may need shoring up the top 6 -9 forwards a little more. I know Sandin is one of our franchise’s more important development pieces and maybe it’s recency bias but I see Lilly as the more frequent and steady contributor, with Sandin’s variable play spanning more than just the last few games prior to the break (as the article sees it).

Just think Timo is a tough pill to swallow cap and asset wise for a rental, and not sure adding Meier means more probability of getting further in the playoffs than another player or position.

Intricate considerations with no clear answer. Going to be interesting to see what we do, as we will be doing something.

    Good read.

I like a play for Larkin if he waives his NMC, round out the D with Chychrun, and fill a spot on the 3rd or 4th line by adding a depth person like Travis Jeannot.

Edit: where do we get the money? That’s for Dubas to figure out, way above my pay grade.
