The Flyers now have 24 picks in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft (a seventh-round pick is unpictured). We also got the 1st overall pick in the draft, so hello Bedard! We were terrible all season, until I started moving the worst of the players. Once Coots came back off IR in late February, we went on a seven-game win streak, which moved us from 2nd worst in the league, to 5th worst. In order of least points, it was Chicago, Minnesota, Ottawa, Arizona, Philadelphia. Tampa defeated Edmonton in five games to win another Cup. NYR and COL also made the conference finals.

    How we got here:

    To CAR: Zack MacEwen

To PHI: 2023 4th Round Pick, 2024 4th Round Pick

MacEwen was actually playing extremely well, so I capitalized on his market while he was hot.

    To PIT: Max Willman

To PHI: 2023 5th Round Pick, 2024 4th Round Pick

Idk why Pittsburgh wanted him, or why they paid so much, but I’m always down to rip off the Pengs.

    To DET: Nicolas Deslauriers

To PHI: 2023 4th Round Pick, 2023 5th Round Pick

This one is just lol. He played so bad that I sent him (through waivers, unclaimed) to Lehigh Valley, and then a week later, Detroit offered this package.

    To SJS: Morgan Frost

    To PHI: Daniil Gushchin

Frost is absolutely terrible in this game. Constantly costing us games, and his play was abysmal. No one wanted to trade him (even though his has 1st line potential) for picks, so I just did a hockey trade to get him off the team.

    To NYI: Noah Cates

To PHI: 2023 2nd Round Pick

Same as Frost, Cates was playing very poorly. I traded him before his stock fell even further.

    To NSH: Olle Lycksell

To PHI: 2023 3rd Round Pick

Lycksell had 11 points in 19 AHL games, and 4 points in 11 NHL games. Sold while he was high, and got a good pick for his worth.

    To CBJ: Linus Hogberg

To PHI: 2023 2nd Round Pick, 2023 4th Round Pick

Having 17 points in 44 games, he was playing decent, but not well enough to resign. CBJ wanted him, and he walked in the offseason back to the SHL.

    To: PIT: Wyatte Wylie

To PHI: 2023 2nd Round Pick, 2024 3rd Round Pick

Again, he wasn’t playing well enough for a resign, so I went to see what was on offer. Pittsburgh provided the best offer, so I sent him to join Willman on the Baby Pengs.

    To SEA: Justin Braun

To PHI: 2023 2nd Round Pick, 2023 4th Round Pick

The certainties of life: death, taxes, and Justin Braun being shipped out at the deadline by the Flyers.

    To CHI: Yegor Zamula

To PHI: 2023 3rd Round Pick, 2023 4th Round Pick

I saw Chicago was interested, so I wanted some early round picks. This was the best package I could get, but it’s still the 65th and 97th pick.

    To NSH: Kevin Hayes

To PHI: 2024 2nd Round Pick, 2024 4th Round Pick

I love Hayes in real life, but he was terrible in this game. I moved him to make some better moves in the offseason, so I’ll take the 2nd for next year that we didn’t have.

    To OTT: Scott Laughton

To PHI: 2023 4th Round Pick, 2023 4th Round Pick

Same as above: I love him, but God-awful in this game. Moved him so he wasn’t a liability for us.

You legitimately could not be worse than Fletcher

I will die on the hill that the average fan, with the same resources as our GM, could do just as good(lol) as a job if not better then he has

  3. Steppyjim

Bet you pull down three middle six forwards with that crop!

  4. Joemamacita

Chuck ridding the team of 2d round picks the near future.

  5. PMMEJALAPENORECIPES

Fletcher would trade half of these picks away for Gudbranson
