I had a strong feeling the islanders were going to get this done I’m happy for them I’m a habs fan but I don’t hate the islanders so I’m happy for them maybe with Horvat there it will give Barzel more opportunities to score more because now other teams have to worry about Horvats line if he can play the way he’s playing now or close to it I think personally he’s going to fall off the success he’s having now but I don’t think it will be by much and that will still be good for the islanders I think the islanders still need to get a solid winger tho but good for them happy for them this trade looks a whole lot better!

If you prorate games missed bc of Covid and injury, Horvat has been a 30/30/60 player the last 5 seasons.
To have Barzal, Horvat, Pelech, Pulock, Dobson, Sorokin, Romanov, Wahlstrom for the foreseeable future is pretty nice (with Bolduc sitting in the wings). I think they still have some decent years out of Nelson, Pageau and Cizikas, too. That's a decent nucleus…as the team moves on from the likes of Bailey, Varlamov, Palmieri, Parise, Clutterbuck, Martin and Lee.
