  1. I'm a Lightning lifer…but I really want to see the Sabs get it together as a franchise. Don't get it twisted though. The Sabers aren't on the same level as the Bolts, Leaf's or Bos. No…they aren't catching any of those teams. baby steps boys. Baby steps.

  2. I am more than willing to break up the kid line. JJ and Jack aren’t finishing, you are wasting Cozens 5×5 this year.

Bo Horvat is not a target for Sabres.

Timo Meier, are they willing to trade for a LONG term, big money player? Then who are you willing to let go? I believe Quinn would be the player traded to get the Shark winger.

    Trade 1 – trash
Trade 2 – pathetic offer – Johnson and Portillo have no value as pending UFA
Trade – stupid – why are you trading Girgensons? Veteran forward.
Trade 4 – unrealistic. Stop with Mitts – you don’t get to “give them” players, they have to agree.

If you want Meier what’s the frame?
    2 first equivalents
    B level prospect
    And a draft pick

Then you put together choice packages they chose from

  3. Buffalo is not going to trade for Bo Horvat as a rental. They are not in that position yet and Adams likes his ability to draft.
I agree that Meier would be a fine addition but is he a long-term solution and what will be his price? Also, Grier is no dummy so why would he be trying get rid of Meier? He is not Karlsson – he is a building block so I do not see the rationale in SJ wishing to trade him.
The rest of the targets and mocks, I am not sure they fit where the Sabres are heading, which is a very young team who are firing in the crucible and need to see how they come out. So far, so good.
The one exception I would make, and I have been saying this everywhere, is to try to get Xhekaj. He would be. Perfect addition to the D. Tough, physical, but CAN play and contribute offensively. He is who we need.

  4. Buffalo will make very few changes if any at deadline. Things are going well in Buffalo and there is no need to upset the chemistry of this young team.

  5. GMKA won't be adding any of these players. Adding a 7-10 million dollar pick up sets the Sabres for failure with the salary cap. Dahlin has to be convinced to sign long term for 8-9 million. Who are you willing to lose in the future by adding any of these guys? GMKA stays put and makes a minor trade at most.

  6. No changes. Team has chemistry and they enjoy playing with eachother. That's something you don't get I'm every locker room. Can't break that up right now with how they are playing.

  7. I feel like any acquisitions would have to be with long term in mind and must fit in. This team has chemistry, and the youngsters growing together with this chemistry is a sure shot contender. We're looking at Tuch to take over the "C" when K.O. hangs up the skates. I think adding Bo Horvat would disrupt that. We need a veteran defenseman.

  8. Jokiharju is the worst, if you watch him closely you’ll see he can never get a puck out of the D zone. His sissy arms have no strength to get puck hard enough off the boards and out. Bryson and him must go.

  9. Everything is so exciting in Buffalo, especially for the diehard fans that have been waiting 11 years for this. As tempting as it is to pay for some players right now I don’t think Adams will do this. And for very good reasons. Anything can happen in the playoffs but we don’t want to blow money on players for a team that will likely get knocked out of the 2nd or 3rd round. We need to be patient and wait for the prospects to develop. Then once Dahlin, Cozens, some of the others are secured, THEN we add some pieces to push for the cup. Adams’ patience is what will win Buffalo’s first Stanley Cup! I’m willing to wait 2+ years for this to happen. We will also have the finances to hold an awesome team together for a long time.

  10. i think the only trades that make sense would be a defenseman, we've been rotating them, and our defense is the weakest part of our game. it would be a good idea to get a solid defenseman

  11. Comrie could go to the Ducks as part of a Gibson trade.
Anderson will retire at the end of the year
