Happy to finally see Marky bail out the team with some big saves. Piss poor defensive play let the team down today.
We had the chance to put this one away after the Stone goal, but our defense played like rookies in front of Markstrom once again. Not faulting this one on Marky but we have enough evidence this season to see that this is a different team when Vladar is in net. Oh well, take the OTL point and move on to the next one. At this point in the season if we’re gonna lose it may as well be in OT.

Fuck I wish Huberdeau was good right now. That pp at the end of the 3rd we need someone like him to finish this shit. We can’t even play him in OT because he’s a liability out there. And of course tkachuk puts up a 5 point game tonight.

Absolutely hung Markstrom out to dry after Stone’s goal. What a waste of momentum for no good reason.
The only positive in this game was like 2/6 of the d core and the third line everybody else owes Marky a life time supply of beer for this loss cause it wasn’t on him!

We’re the only team in the league that hasn’t won a game when trailing after two. Anaheim, Arizona, Columbus etc have. That’s pretty brutal and not something a team even sniffing the playoffs should be able to say.

Well, I’m gonna be in Detroit on Thursday for the game. Hopefully they win or at least I get to see Pelletier’s 1st point/goal in person. That would be nice

Kadri and Mang both button hooked to go back up ice, when Zadorov was all tied up. Who did they think was gonna get them the puck? Mang could’ve easily gotten that loose puck if he didn’t turn to go back up ice. Horrible effort in OT.

I’m going to talk about one of the bright spots in this game – Pelletier. I was watching him particularly when he was on the ice and he’s such a smart player. Makes solid puck decisions, excited for him over the next stretch of games to settle in and playing well
This years team is so mid. Istg we better not sign lucic next season I don’t care what anybody thinks about his leadership his on ice product is terrible

What a piss poor effort from all 3 skaters on that last goal, especially after 2 huge bailouts from Marky and Lindy, wish this team would either decide to get its shit together or just commit to a tank, I’d rather cheer for a shit team for a couple of years with a chance to be a real threat later than watch another 2 decades or so of mediocrity
Flames took a team that is 16-3-4 in their last 23 to overtime after a 9 game break. While they didn’t play perfect, they showed up to play at puck drop.
Hanafin had an absolute monster of game tonight.
I am just going to say that this game isn’t totally on Markstrom. But he has got to figure out a way to get out of the first period without letting in a goal within the first 10 shots. It’s frustrating to watch Calgary having to start from behind every game. No wonder the team has no pop in front of him.
I wouldn’t be excited to play in front of a goalie that you know will have you battling from behind from the hop.
Vladar might not be much better of a tender but the boys obviously play better in front of him. So like it or not it’s time to give him the keys and let him start the big games for a minute. Maybe that will give Markstrom the motivation to rebuild his game
