Would you believe me if I told you the team in red lost the special teams battle once again?
Wheel team not happy…
Physically, Fabs was here, mentally, he was still in Tulum
0 for 5 on the pp says about it all
We had plenty of chances to tie it but we have no finishers, crazy how chippy that one got though, got damn boah.
Seider’s post. Fabbri’s post. Bergertime post. Two breakaway. 0/5 on the PP. 2 goals. Sigh…
Kulak is and will always be a cunt.
Can this team please finish more than 5% of their shots. So much improvement in making chances but god I don’t even get excited for breakaways or odd man rushes anymore
Well I’m going to bed angry. I fuckin hate Edmonton now. The refs were garbage and our power play is getting us nowhere.
They might have lost but I’m proud of them for scrumming it up so frequently.
Also, don’t lament losing to the Oilers. They’re going nowhere fast and are going to spoil the prime of the best hockey player in history.

Honestly solid game despite the final score. Feisty one, too.
McDavid + Drai with one total point. I’ll take it.
Hopefully we can take our frustrations on on Vancouver.
Rumor has it that Boesser will be gone very shortly. The area staff is in the process of taking down his banner from the stadium.
One things for certain, Tanguay needs to go. We had a level 9 intensity that game and once we were on a PP, everything went to 2. No one moves. The only deceptive player is Seider as a quarterback. It’s a weak system.
Better days ahead.
Easy to root for Jack Campbell. Good dude
Kubalik needs to be pulled off PP1, could also maybe just scrap the whole thing and try something different. Our special teams are complete ass
I do not envy Lalonde’s job of trying to get this team over the hump in all of the areas they can still improve on. It’s so many small things. Putting together a solid all around performance is the only thing holding them back, because they can have stretches of looking good against basically any team. Then they find some way to kill their chances.
kane getting the empty netter was a punch in groin kind of chefs kiss
I really want to see more leadership from lalonde, larkin and the ‘a’s, because those in between the whistle scrums were pathetic. Getting tossed around just for it to end up being 4 on 4.
Solid pressure and decent puck movement all around. They almost completely contained the Oilers big guns and honestly should have been up by multiple goals halfway in.
Interesting reffing decisions at very odd times kinda nerfed whatever flow the game had unfortunately.
I can’t believe this 12 day wait for the Red Wings to start playing again.
Well shit, makes sense now. Campbell was a wings fan course he’s playing great. It’s like Howie being a beast against the Rangers.
I’m not as mad as I expected. Edmonton has been on fire and if not for our own mental errors–and horrific officiating–that game is ours. Plus, we actually showed some heart and didnt just get pushed around. Delusional? Yes, I probably am, but need my delusion so I can sleep without the whiskey.
I physically cannot get over the non call on Nurse. He literally mugs Bertuzzi and doesn’t even get a look from the refs. I am in actual astonishment.
I love our sub. Equal parts optimism and rage. Both camps will vehemently defend their positions
Seider plays the game like no dman I’ve ever seen. He’s so good at shutting down guys like McDavid and getting into their heads
Game of inches, we hit a lot of posts that could of been goals
Edmonton Shmedmonton
See you next week.
Fairly entertaining game that we played pretty well in just couldn’t get a bounce. Held McDavid in check most of night and had a chance. Oh well. Go Wings
Why is Steve so against firing even an assistant coach during the season. Are u or r u not trying to attempt a wildcard push (i know it’s not the expectation nor mine). But if your trying, letting that bum suck all the energy and momentum out of ur team 2 minutes at a time is a shit way of showing it
We need a heavyweight in our lineup. Keep getting pushed around and don’t have any guys who can step up to Kane/Reaves and other big guys
Is it just me or is the Larkin contract/Vrana situation kind of just lingering over the team right now ? Like we need some clarity before we take the next step.
5v5 Fancy stats indicate we should have probably won: 54.69 %CF and 55.12 xGF%. No luck, I guess.
