That was a horrible game to watch. Filled with turnovers and this game could have easily been like 6-1 7-1 flyers, stuey was brilliant tonight and was elite for the oilers. Oilers had no buisness making it to overtime, suprised it happend. What’s crazy is this game should have been an oilers w but the refs called back the goal even though I think it was interference (that’s a different discussion) plus, McDavid and draisaitl haven’t seemed to shake of vacation mode. Hopefully the oilers come in strong on Saturday, we need that win.
Yeah the Oiler's were back to playing too passive, turnovers were numerous and they soft passed all night. It was bad enough that the Flyers were anticipating the soft pass and scooping them up. It's like they were scared to pass down the middle. I'm not sure if it's from the ice not being as hard as at home or something but they couldn't seem to go stick to stick and the plays were so sloppy. If it wasn't for Kaner beating Hart low glove side this would have been a shut out. Even McDavid and Draisaitl didn't have any drive tonight. Same with Last game as well. Were they worked too hard in the Allstar's competition???!!! Something has to be going on. All I know is if they play this bad on Saturday and Sunday they will drop 4 points and be below the threshold!
You didn’t miss much. You can stick your own goalie to dissallow a goal if in the right uni. Stevie got the point. 9 mil dud had a good game. Barrie looked out of place. I guess the boys don’t want to stay out of the wild card race. Enjoy Montreal.
