I don’t know if Jack’s injury was caused by contact with opponent but he needs protection regardless , especially in playoffs . At this time there’s no enforcer in the roster . That is another issue Fits has to address .

I'm concerned that the Devils are struggling at 5 on 5, not just against Kraken but really since the New Year. We are winning, thanks to good goaltending, but what is needed to get going again? When we had the winning streak we had production from all lines. Maybe the BMW production last night will net results.
Yeah not having Hughes around will force the team to generate offence in other ways which is always good for a short while. Hamilton on fire with another multiple goal game. Blackwood looked solid for the whole game and maybe he's just in a good zone mentally as a #2. Lets see if he can keep injury free for a while. If it had to be anyone scoring against NJ I would pick Adam Larsson, one of my all time favs. I got one of his warmup jerseys for my son's HS graduation present. Went up to Albany several times to see him play when Scrooge Face DeBore sent him down.
It's the next man up. Both Nico and Bratt need to get the offense going. The next 4 games are all winnable.
It was obvious they missed Jack but overall a great game. Dougie is killer!

I’m glad you mentioned the BMW line because they looked great, better than they have in months, and they were critical to picking up the slack. They possessed the puck for good stretches of time. Possession is what will hurt the Devils without JH who is a possession machine

Funny how it was all defenseman scoring last night. Great to see them get the W. A winnable game against the struggling Wild would help me feel much better about Hughes missing 5-7 games here (most likely). LGD
