Trois destinations commerciales pour Adam Henrique. Insulaires, Pingouins, Diables

Bel article Charlie Hiller ! Merci d’avoir écrit sur notre équipe.

Luckily its not you who is supposed to « listen » 😀

Frankly speaking, I think Rico stays. He´s not an exciting player. For a contender, he´s a 3rd line center who brings some versatility but thats all. He wont fetch us a 1st round pick (not a chance!) and selling him for something like a 3rd, minor prospect (like Andersson) and a bottom6 guy does not make sense.

I would rather see Gibby leaving, but I´m worried theres no market for him. Also, Dostal seems not to be ready yet, needs an additional season in the AHL.

I´m sure we trade Klingberg for a 2nd which is completely ok. Then possibly Comtois for a similar player or a 4th.

Thats all. Unless Pat decides to make a splash by trading Terry or Fowler, I dont expect any other trades to happen. Our top6 is either young or too bad, besides those mentioned above, we really have no players to offer.

I think Minnesota & Colorado would make more sense for him. I could see them both looking at him as a budget 2C (with 50% retention) for 2 playoff runs, and ponying up a first, especially if we take a cap dump back. I don’t think Verbeek will be hungry to trade him but I could see one of those two teams settling on him as a “gotta have it” option.

I want Devils first cause I know they are going to want Henrique back.

don’t see him making sense for the islanders; they’re hardly a playoff contender (getting Horvat didn’t really make sense to me either tbh) and i would rather get a 1st for this draft not the 24′ draft.

Do the Pens even need a player like Rico? I don’t really see where he would fit in their line up.

Devils could make some sense roster wise, and it would be nice for him to go back to the Devils.

Carolina is another team I could see being interested.

I think the issue with Henrique is that he’s not a sexy option and falls behind Meier, Kane, Bertuzzi, Barbeshev, Boeser, on the wings, and O’Reilly, Toews, and possibly even Monahan. Most trades would be waiting for those names to drop first before dancing with Henrique, and given there are very few destinations who could even consider the salaries of the above names, the Ducks dance partners might dry up pretty quick by the end of it.

It’s arguable that he’s even more valuable to the Ducks than whatever they would get back in trade… I think they just keep him. Don’t get me wrong, he IS a decent trade chip, he just isn’t a sexy one that most teams would be lining up for.

With that said, I think Colorado and New Jersey are better fits for various reasons. What they can get from either team… who knows. Given the Avalanche defence, I wonder if the Ducks would be better adding something to the mix and nabbing Girardi or similar. Avs probably want to open up some toi on the blue line going forward, and the Ducks need NHL D in a bad way. could be a good fit as a « hockey trade »
