    Please no. The last thing we need right now is an overpriced guy on his way out. These trade deadline deals the last couple of years have killed our team chemistry. If anything, we should trade for prospects or draft picks. Renting big names isn’t worth it.

    The Kaner of the last few years would’ve been worth it. He was one of the leagues best play drivers and the offense that contributed alone would’ve boosted this team a whole lot.

    But this years Kane isn’t that guy. Too injured to perform at the level we’d need and the cost it would take to get him.

    I’d imagine it’s a similar cost for Kane and Meier and I’d MUCH rather get Meier. Fills massive scoring hole and get be traded as an RFA to recoup assets.

    We need someone to fill stone’s void and also someone of elite skill to play with Eichel, but I don’t know if Kane is the player.

    He will win us a few games in a shootout, but I think we’d be better with someone with a net front presence. Don’t know who that is.

    Sad thing, we’re going to probably need a goalie too. Hill and Brossoit are not the ones to stake the hopes and dreams of a cap franchise on.

    It’s just like if you’re gonna go all out like this…then actually go all out and get Meier. This is a half measure that will be costly. Not worth

    Personally, I don’t think the team should make any moves. There are no players available that won’t cost us future picks that will help.

    I like Kane but grabbing an injured dude at the trade deadline is a lame idea.
