    Believe it or not Myers is not a bad defenseman he is just performing badly, especially the last two years. He like Boeser is a player that is motivated by emotion, so when the winds are blowing in a negative direction he gets bad and goes the way the wind blows. If he was traded to the leafs where they are a playoff team and things are going good there most likely he would perform surprisingly well, see his play in Winnipeg to see how this works. Emotional players are very susceptible to "thinking on the ice", which results in a ton of mistakes. One doesn't have time to think and only has time to react to the play unfolding. If Myers was traded it would hurt the Canucks future as the Bomb for Bedard campaign is bolstered by Myers, and several other's play. No telling what the Canucks would have to give up to make the trade, but i would imagine it wouldn't benefit the Canucks short term. Better to just let him expire or see if someone will pick him up for 1 million on July 2 after his 5 million bonus is paid out. The only way the leafs could make it work is if the Canucks retain 50% of the salary and take back a contract or two like Holl and Kampf for example. The leafs who can sense the desperation of this management crew would not want to give up any picks but the Canucks would of course want something in return. The big return would be 3 million in cap space next year and 6 million the following year. I really expect OEL to get bought out and Myers to expire, so maybe the focus on trades will be players that wouldn't cost so much to move like Garland. They could get rid of Boeser if they are willing to take back some bad contracts and retain 25%, but other G.M.s just seen how little Vancouver got for the heart and soul of the team in Horvat so they are all surrounding the prey and waiting for the prey to bolt to "safety". lol

    Maybe you can trade Myers at next years deadline when he will become a UFA with little actual salary to be paid but extremely doubtful this year. Schenn is the guy they might want. At 50% retained it's a minimal cap hit plus he will be a UFA. It's possible some team might offer a 2nd rounder for him.

    Very serious leafs fan here. I think Myers would be a huge upgrade to the team and probably our key to the cup. We should trade for him at all costs. Dubas I hope you're reading this. Again, I am definitely a very serious leafs fan who definitely seriously wants Myers on the team. Definitely. Seriously.
