Don’t worry everyone, Anson Carter told me we’re just 1 defenseman away from contention. It’s all good. 😎

  2. what a great day for a tank day wooo

  3. stilllaughing

Slowly but surely, we’re getting there

  4. monkey314

The only thing bad about losing right now is that it taints the tainted Skate jersey. Taints for everyone.

  5. Gnome_de_Plume

    Delia with a sparking .739

Obviously no defence but holy fuck

If Demko doesn’t come back strong next year then it is going to be so ugly. Fans will be chanting for Holtby.

[That Beauvillier post in the 2nd on the power play is gonna haunt me. This is my one and only sign not to bet on this team lmao.](https://imgur.com/a/MxzWywP) Good back to back games for the tank tho, I was fully expecting us to win both of them for some reason

  7. WatsUpHamSup

    Collin Delia (VAN) on waivers.

  8. broeser99

If someone told me before the season started we’d be within 2 points of Arizona 54 games in I’d have walked away…

  9. shadownet97

The nicest thing was Rasmussen waving back to his parents in the stands and his mom getting emotional.

    That was wholesome. :’)

  10. zero-the-hero-0069

Put the backup goalie on waivers, and keep the backup to the backup.

    score 6-1

    Working hard, for Bedard!

That was beyond embarrassing. I am on team tank and am all for Vancouver trying to get a top draft pick but my God that « effort » tonight was truly pathetic. No urgency, no pride, no pushback. The fact Bruce Boudreau got 18 wins out of this team this season is a miracle. Scotty Bowman could be coaching this team and the results wouldn’t be much better. This team from top to bottom needs a full-on tear down.

Was that an octopus someone threw on the ice with like 1 1/2 minutes left?

For years, and even last year, I’d make a point of watching/listening to as many games as I could, generally 70-80% of games. I think I’ve watched 5 this year. Finding it really hard to feel connected to the current roster. Petey, Hughes, Kuz are bright spots, I still root hard for Boeser, and some of the grinders are doing all they can, but it’s a FAR cry from the team from a decade ago. Now I know how all my Oiler fan friends here in Edmonton felt from ‘06-recently. It’s rough…

  14. Horrible game. Once again Garland is the only consistently good forward on this team under Tocchet. I’m still shocked they haven’t ever tried Garland with Pettersson/Kuz because I see potential chemistry with Garland/Kuz. First in the MTL game and now tonight on PP2. Oh well. At least it’s a good loss for the tank.

  15. bobadole

Trade me. Let my fandom bring back an asset.

  16. Boeser can’t shoot, can’t skate, can’t battle for the puck, but at least he got good hair

  17. Extra-Cap2029

There’s tanking and then there’s chasing Quinn and Petey out of town. These type of performances scare me that we are dangerously close to the latter.

Huge dub for the Coyotes though. Top 5 pick is so close.

  18. 00Makerin00

Bad performance all around but OEL, Myers and Stillman deserve their own tank to ride around in lol.

  19. Judge24601

For those who are worried the team will win too much and spoil their draft pick:
Good news! This team is abysmal

  20. ProfCharlesSexavier

Coach has a weird way of framing things. He almost talks as if he’s a mercenary brought in to fix the team and doesn’t consider himself a part of the Canucks.

  21. DouggietheK

Finding a new rock bottom every game. They keep playing like this and they might do the impossible and finish worse than Chicago and Columbus.

  22. shadownet97

I know it’s too early to tell with Tocchet but Idk if I’d prefer RT hockey or TG hockey more.

    Yikes.

  23. Snowy--Lynx

At this point, all I can do is laugh. Well done, boys.

  24. ooMEAToo

Coaching was definitely the issues. Good thing we fired one of the best coaches ever.

  25. humblearugula8

NYR should crush them next game. At home, another laugher to disappoint paying fans.

The tank is on and the race to the bottom is closer than ever before.

Need management to make more tank worthy moves. Move Schenn. Move Boeser (he’s been playing better, otherwise I would say he’s tank positive).

Loving Kuz on the 3rd line. Tocchet new tank commander?

  26. readytogetstarted

You watch 6 goals go in. « Put me in coach ». « Sry bud you better get on that bus to the minors- we’re keeping that goalie in and replacing you with no one. »

  27. LiterallyRickTocchet

I hope the Aquilinis lose interest in this team soon.

    Sell the team.

    Secondly, let’s go team tank!

  28. OneChet

The next time the Canucks are top 3 in the west, not a single current player will be on the roster.

  29. Emergency_Wolf_5764

Well, this was probably the worst game of the season for Collin Delia in a Vancouver Canucks uniform.

So do the Canucks now take Spencer Martin back off waivers, and instead put Delia on waivers tomorrow morning?

At this point, might as well just put **both** of them on waivers and call up Arturs Silovs to at least see what he can do before Demko comes back and takes over the net anyway.

For his part, Tocchet must already be knocking back a couple of stiff shots of grappa every night to help himself fall asleep after having to repeatedly witness the Canucks’ penalty kill and goaltending trauma units from ice level every game.

Maybe should have stayed in Vegas with the other talking heads on TNT?

Continue the tank for Bedard, folks.

    Onward and downward.

    Next.
