I think Dubas knows it’s a big year and these guys deserve the help. I have no issue losing him for pieces off the roster. I like Knies as much as the next guy, but Meier helps this team while everyone is in their prime. If his contract ask is reasonable it’s not impossible to keep him as well. Otherwise you can flip him at the draft for a 1st at the very least. The amount of teams that have the cap to trade for him in the offseason goes up. It could turn into a bidding war. It’s an ideal situation for this team.

Hate to be a wet blanket but I’d bet on either jersey or the canes getting Meier. They have better assets to trade for him and less issues with cap space I believe

Leafs are 100% not outbidding the Devils, Sharks, or Canes for Meier. Lets not get our hopes up here. He honestly isn’t worth it for what we would have to give up, and the contract he will be expecting next season.

Not gonna lie I’d rather have Gavrikov + Roslovic than Meier.
Rielly-Gavrikov-Gio is a solid left side while Roslovic would be interesting alongside JT and Willy.
