Damn.
got a feeling he was distracted. Hope he and his family are okay.
But I’m going to the game tonight!
/s obvs hope everything is ok.
If I recall his Dad hasn’t been doing well the last few years.
As always, the post in r/hockey is an absolute mess. Insane.
Carolina Hurricanes send a classy reply. Maybe not a bench of jerks after all.
>There’s no timeline on Ovechkin’s absence but Laviolette did say he’s expecting to be without him for the foreseeable future, which means he’ll miss Saturday’s Stadium Series game. #Caps

That’s not good. I hope everything works out okay for him.
Wishing him the best. Got a Valentine’s Day game tonight I’m going to and he will be missed 😞

I very much regret clicking on the thread in r/hockey about this.
What a cesspool.
Uh oh, hope everything turns out OK, and best wishes to the family member.
Canes fan here, and oh my is this disappointing!! I think we all are wanting to see the Gr8t in the stadium on Saturday, but of course family is #1
🙏 wishing the best for Ovi 🙏
legit concern he wont be able to get back out of Russia right
Is Puttin sick?
Gone to take care of daddy putler
Haven’t been to r/hockey in a while, fucking hell what happened to that place.
I didn’t even know Putin was sick.
Tee hee.
I have a feeling it has something to do with Ovis Father. He hasn’t been in great health lately. Thoughts going out to the Ovechkin family.

It’s funny when people decide to conveniently hate a famous person for personal reasons, then still prop up others because you can « separate the body of work from the person ». Hypocrisy at its finest.
I love this sub. We don’t have shitheads that take someone’s father possibly dying as an opportunity to brigade a team sub.
While I’m sad to see Ovi step away, I hope he’s able to focus on his family and do whatever needs to be done. Hope to see him back soon.
