    Practice those shootouts, boys

  2. VictorM51

Hakstol has done a great job this year and no one can argue that but we are far too passive in OT and I generally don’t get his choices for shootout shooters. I get in OT is a possession game but so many times it feels that the team is way too hesitant to shoot or push the pace at all

  3. alienbanter

C’mon guys fucking WIN SOME GAMES FOR GRU. HE’S PLAYING GREAT.

  4. ghostxvoices

A perfect encapsulation of why wins don’t mean shit for goalie quality. Gru has been showing out since coming back.

  5. _MMCXII

Man I hope the team gets a tax-exempt status when they go to OT/SO because they’re a literal charity.

  6. BlackSnowMarine

This team fucking hates Gru, man. Can’t ever win these.

  7. seasportsfan

So what the fuck with the refs not calling the blatant and obvious holding penalty with about 65 seconds left in overtime? Did I just imagine that shit, or did y’all see that too??

  8. CheeseBiscuits

Defense needs to do more to keep their SOG lower. Saving 38 on 40 is awesome to see though. Glad we left with a point.

  9. BenSoloGhost

Another good game from Gru at least. Gonna be soar after how many times the Jets ran over him. He definitely deserves more starts and to be our primary goalie considering Jones is struggling. We cannot win a shootout

  10. TheAtomicMonkey

Have we ever even scored on a SO attempt?

  11. San_Juan_Worm

They played hard tonight and played better then they did those first three games of the road trip.

Wennberg has really been playing well this road trip and I think we saw a lot of good things this game. Plus a point is a point.

  12. Pete_Iredale

God damn it shoot outs are dumb.

  13. DannkHippo

Given our history..I should just turn the game off when it comes to a shootout…SMH. maybe same my heart from beating too fast for awhile

  14. getthejpeg

We need some finishing moves. 0/3 in shootouts is starting to add up.

On to the next one, see you all next time!

Why the need to dick around with the puck trying to get cute just to try and tap at the top of the crease?

  16. roogalaxy

So I went to the skills comp last month and I fully realize that it’s just the guys screwing around and having fun, but we got some great shoot out displays from players we never use in an actual shoot out. I genuinely don’t get it.

  17. What a waste of one of the best goaltending jobs all season.

Also would’ve liked to have seen Beniers or McCann on the SO, someone who would take a good shot from distance instead of this dancing in close all our guys try and which has an abysmal success rate.

  18. seattlesportsguy

I fucking hate our shootout game. Glad this road trip is over.

  19. BenadrylBeer

I’m happy we got a point still

  20. HollywoodAndDid

Please, Kraken. Don’t regress on us. My Mariner fandom heart can’t take it.

  21. Dilldozer32

Sucks to see Gru stand on his head for one point, at least we got one I suppose.

  22. LC_From_TheHills

Hard road trip. This was gonna be a tough one to win. Happy to get a point. As long as we keep in the race we’ll be good.

  23. c0y0t3_sly

Shootouts suck, but played a pretty solid game against a good opponent. CC ant be too disappointed.

  24. robschlonger

The push to the playoffs is gonna be rough if special teams consistently fall flat. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen Seattle be above 50% on draws in a game either.

  25. Go_Hawks12

I swear if we get another shoot out and the first two shooters are some combo of Sprong/Eberle/Donato I’m turning it off. Yes we aren’t a high skill team but Atleast try. All 3 shootouts so far, same skaters, same results. Yes I know Sprong didn’t play tonight but still.

  26. foster-rx

Did I miss something? Where is Jaycob Megna?

  27. coyoteinapond

Why is Matty never in a shootout? I don’t understand

  28. milkisforbabies666

Come in peace Jets fan who cheers for the Kraken anytime they arent against the Jets and usually participates in the gameday pump up thread. Grew up same small town Manitoba as Morgan and Connor Geekie so love seeing Geeks get on the board! I went home for Connors draft party this year, the town was buzzing that our boy went #11. So happy seeing Morgan a mainstay on the Kraken roster now.

That being said…..JETS BOMBED THOSE JELLYFISH BACK TO THE DEPTHS FROM WHENCE THEY CAME. KEEP MY AIRPORT OUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH!!!

For real though great game 1 goal games all year. Now our season series is done LETS GO KRAKEN FINISH STRONG AND WE WILL SEE YOU IN THE PLAYOFFS

  29. tonytanti

At least the next 3 games are against relatively easy opponents. They should get 5 points, I think.

  30. Dilldozer32

Stats have been updated and The German Gentleman has cracked .900!

  31. infidelappel

Sucks to squander an incredible game from Gru.

But hey, at least they got a point in the standings they probably shouldn’t have. He earned that one for them.

I’m stoked Gru has been playing to his potential lately. If he can really get back to form full-time and the offense gets going again, we’re going to the playoffs.

  32. B9RV2WUN

This loss is on Oleksiak. The freebie unforced giveaway the difference .

    The power play. Ugh.

  33. adrianp07

I’ll go ahead and say it, Oleksiak may be the weakest link on defense right now

  34. MAHHockey

    Gru with a .950 save pct, so of course that’s a loss…

Glad to at least get a point out of it.
