  1. Holl is a #5, 6 on a good NHL team, and thats only bcuz his PK abilities(blocking shots, long stick)
His skating is not good, hes not physical at all especially for his size, & even tho his breakouts have improved over time its still not good enough. If he gets replaced this deadline I wont be upset about it bcuz he only plays decent w Giordano anyways

  2. Why does Steve keep saying the league won't change the rules midseason? It's the NHL, a joke organization. How could he have that much faith?

  3. How is it pp premature panic when we have been saying this for 3 years to get ride of this guy because he is costing? Not pp sorry

  4. Steve is too hard on Holl. An upgrade would be nice, but he's a decent player.

  5. This issue is falling here on Holl simply because 1) Dubas dropped the ball initially on contracts. Overpaid on JT AND Nylander AND Marner. In Dubas’ defense he would have been better off without Covid and frozen CAP, thinking that he could bolster the defense later. All that being said, the Leafs seem to have ‘internal’ issues. We don’t always see Leafs play 60 MINUTES. How can this be a thing in the NHL ? Remember, hockey is a team game so it is possible to beat the team with the best PLAYER (insert McDavid). Even though it’s obvious to me, I don’t hear TOO MUCH on players not wanting to play for the Leafs, if given the choice, they choose U.S. cities (climate & taxes ?) BILL OF GOODS here guys, the Leafs as currently constructed CANNOT BEAT either Tampa or Boston in a 7 game series. But Leaf’s fans soldier on cheering for a team that hold their own in the regular season BUT ARE NOT BUILT FOR THE PLAYOFFS.
After this season, Dubas will be OUT, maybe Shanahan because that’s what happens here and maybe it’s overdue. I’ve watched this story for WAY TOO MANY YEARS !
BUT I like Steve’s passion and many excellent videos, mostly after the fantastic losses. The way this team loses games they should win is laughable and I’m sure they are the BUTT of jokes in the off-season. EVEN CANADIAN PLAYERS don’t want to play here. Just one example, Taylor Hall is on the 3RD LINE IN BOSTON. The Leafs MUST BE ABSOLUTELY HATED EVERYWHERE EXCEPT TORONTO. In short Leaf’s fans continue to FUND the NHL and support POORER TEAMS to satisfy Betman but cannot ice a team that’s competitive in the playoffs. HOWEVER, JUSTIN HOLL IS NOT THEIR MOST PRESSING SITUATION!

  6. Remember… we let Jared McCann go to Seattle because Justin Holl was just too valuable of a piece to let go.

  7. You know you're supporting a loser when the media whines about officiating from the previous season's playoffs. Men play hockey. Score more goals.

  8. Holl has been the shits for 2 straight years…its about damn time. He's just a contract now to move with Kerfoot for an upgrade.

  9. I’ve been saying Holl needs to go since 2020, he’s not the right fit. We need a mean gritty defender some grit up front. This team always has the same problems. It’s frustrating to watch other teams be built and wine, the same way leafs should be built.

  10. Sometimes you have to keep a player that might not be as good so you can assure cost certainty.

  11. Just put Benn in the lineup instead. There is your net front presence that can clear the crease for the goalies.

Thinking that there is a magical unicorn defenseman that can, clear the front of the net, move the puck up the ice effortlessly, that the Leafs can fit with their cap situation and can acquire with the assets they are willing to part with is almost as ludicrous as thinking the reffing is going to change

  12. Holl can't cover or move guys in front of the net. You can be good at somethings (penalty kill, moving the puck) and be horrible at others (being physical and picking up the man in front of the net). That's who he is and what you get for $2M..

  13. I was at this game…Holl drove me insane! I could pin 3 of those goals on Justin Hole…the Black Hole on D.

  14. Keep holl he’s a good team guy.. one guy isn’t going to make a big impact.. they thought kadri was the cause of there failure for not advancing to the next round. He was just one guy

  15. For a team that wants to challenge for a Cup and are built up front to win now, all 6 D-men are pretty lacking in quality. Every other potential Cup contender has at least 1 if not 2 star D-men. Fox/Trouba, Hedman/Cernak, Carlo/McAvoy, Toews/Makar, Nurse/Barrie

  16. Holl is looking less like a great story of an AHLer who surprised everyone and more like an AHLer who was playing way over his head for one season? Half a season? He's awful.

But he's Marners BFF so he ain't going anywhere guys. Players run this team, that's the problem.

  17. I Think He's Done Time For Him To Move On Somewhere Else Go Join Mcdermit In Vancouver GLG
