Provy est manifestement meilleur que Chychrun – Peut-être devrions-nous essayer de vendre cher pour changer ?

Chychrun is a +8 and Provy is a Minus, therefore Chychrun is better

Chychrun is better than Provorov while also being ~2 million cheaper in AAV and and a year younger. The main advantage of Provorov is that he’s built like a tank and is always available, where with Chychrun you run the risk of acquiring an expensive player with a long injury history.

All that to say: we 100% should be shopping Provorov *hard*. As far as I’m concerned I have more faith in York at 1LHD long term at this point, and the defense market totally falls off a cliff after Chychrun (I don’t think anyone will be able to afford EK65 or I’d add him in there too). I find it incredibly difficult to believe the guy is going to want to extend here after his current deal, and even the organization seems to understand that they aren’t competing the next 2 years. Not to mention the whole « first are more valuable in this draft than most » thing…

I’m not as hard-core into the mentality of « hard sell everyone » as a lot of the fanbase seems to be at this point, but trading Provorov should be an absolute no-brainer

What are you seeing in this picture that shows you Provorov is demonstably better than the guy with more points and a better +/-, in fewer games, on a worse team?

This new use of the word « demonstrably » is vexing

Chychrun is a better player on a cheaper deal. That being said you can still get a big return for Provy if they choose to move him. I would imagine a 1st, player + b prospect at the right time, but now I don’t think you get that for him, not until Chychrun is moved. It may just be better to move him in the offseason at or after the draft, teams are extremely hesitant to move 2023 1st rounders, the 2024 draft also looks really solid and we already compiled 2 picks in the first round with ours and Floridas. Flyers should be looking to make a deal this offseason.
