Bad effort, but on a team this talented those can turn into Ws. 21-4-3 streak. I’ll sleep fine.

  2. itsnotnews92

A win is a win. I’ll take it even if it’s ugly.

  3. vladley

Damn it’s late I’m tired. At least tomorrow’s game starts at 9.

  4. Terrible defense and blue line play, but at least they scored enough to cover all that

  5. PaulSach

Not the cleanest win, but I’ll take the 2 points. That 3rd period was a rough watch. Can’t imagine GG is thrilled with the effort tn. Ah well.

Imo, Mika and Bread had really nice games—Bread has especially seemed energized since the Tarasenko trade. Seems like he just needed another close friend on the team 🙂

Speaking of Vladdy Daddy, absolutely loved the effort he showed in the dzone late in the 3rd period. So far, so good from the Tarasenkshow.

Next up—a big boy game against Connor McDavid and his band of ruffian oil men.

They have a horrendous loss to avenge Friday. It was the lowest point of the entire season, everyone was pretty much in despair. I think they’ll want it bad and come out much sharper in Edmonton.

  7. JerkItToReesesCups

Kind of a sloppy game, tbh. I think they’re saving full strength for Edmonton, the real threat. It feels like the top teams in the league fall into the trap of sleeping on the last place teams. Yeah, they’re worse than the rest, but they’re not actually dogshit. It’s not like you’re playing AHL teams. Hell, CBJ held their own against Jersey in Tuesday night.

Also, too bad we couldn’t get a Shesty goal yet.

  8. jhealey0909

    They never make it easy.

Still did better against Vancouver than the Isles did tho

  9. After watching the early 2010s teams, I never thought we’d have a team that is able to outscore their defensive issues purely off skill. Exciting times

  10. Slugggo

If Igor scores in one of these late games, I’m gonna wake up everyone in my neighborhood when I start screaming and I don’t care.

This is a game we lose in November

  12. johnnydubsack

Sloppy game but the stars stepped up

  13. SomethingSmooth

Well the best thing I can say about that game is Tarasenko is much better defensively than advertised. Saw a lot of high effort back checks tonight that helped us seal this game. Same from Panarin, too.

  14. Fire_Gorton

2 points and this felt like a beer league game. Happy with the win but they won on talent alone.

  15. lukelliot

Glad that’s over. Now the only thing I’m looking forward to is Trouba laying out Draisaitl for that arrogant stick flipping shit he pulled in the last game.

  16. HelloImDanM

I love everything about Shesterkin giving that kid the stick. The Shesterkin jersey. How surprised and happy he was. How happy his mom was, despite being a Canucks fan. The Canucks fans cheering Shesterkin and patting the kid on the back. Just all-around awesome.

  17. Envelopen

I really wonder how we can find a way to slow the game down, once the opposition starts buzzin rangers struggle to juggle the lead. Common theme of the season and if we can figure that out i feel like we can become unstoppable.

  18. terithegreat

TBH, I don’t care if we were sloppy tonight as long as we show up against Edmonton. Still feeling salty after that November game.

  19. Blueshirts_Always

Didn’t get the hatty but I’m still ordering that Bacon Turkey Bravo Sandwich from Panarin Bread for lunch tomorrow. 6 in 2 games ain’t shabby at all for a hatty average.

  20. ItsHeadbangerG

Pretty sloppy defense as per Rangers usual, especially in that 3rd period, along with Shesty not performing his best. Luckily offense bailed us out of it, and absolutely shelled that poor kid in net. Panarin is on an absolute tear, and I’m here for each and every bit of it. It’s good to see him shooting, and scoring like we all wanted him to.

I kinda wish Gallant would’ve kept the Pan/Mika/Senko line from last Friday, but this team is firing on all cylinders right now, so I’ll just zip it for the time being. On to the next one.

    See ya Friday.

  21. Braunb8888

Looks like we finally have the offense needed to win a cup, but what’s up with Igor this year? Feels like every game he gives up at least 3.

  22. Clints_Burner77

Rare dud from the kid line tonight

  23. InternationalHunt738

Bottom line Rangers got 2 points.

Horrible effort all around by the whole team.

Canucks are trying to win the worst team in the league award this season. And thank god for that because no way we win this game otherwise.

They had 5 defensemen all night and that was an improvement for them. The goalie they had in net tonight, was so fresh I could smell the fear from my TV screen.

Phil DiGuisppe looked like a reincarnation of Bure tonight.

Mr. Softie Ice Cream man was seen giving out cones to the Ranger’s players. Fox saw him right as Vancouver was about to score that 4th goal and just went for the ice cream cone with 2 scoops instead of playing defense.

Igor on the 3rd Canuck goal was just shocked at how fast Mikkola skated away from the shooter and toward the triple scoop vanilla cone with sprinkles…he lost track of what flavor his was going to get.

To say this was a pathetic game is an understatement. The Rangers outclass Vancouver by such a large margin and yet if you watched this game you would’ve thought this was the defending stanley cup champs. 90% of the play was in our zone all night. I think there was a record for icings tonight and someone should call the guiness book of world records to check. But yeah we are going to win the cup. I totally see it!

I mean it is a win but man this team leaves me second guessing them way too often.

  24. Tommybrady20

You couldn’t have a game that encapsulated the “Western Canada road-trip” more.

  25. JPmoneyman

Any time we can sit here and nit pick wins is a good thing. Igor hasn’t been super sharp lately but we all know he’s got another gear or two he can hit. Overall defense was meh, Vancouver has some dangerous players and they definitely had their chances. Overall it seems like puck luck has been in our favor lately which is great, but we have seen how far things can swing back in the other direction. Think this was just one of those games on the road after a long break against a bad team where the Rangers just kinda coasted all night. I’ll take the 2 points and move on. Next 2 games vs Edmonton and Calgary should be pretty good.

  26. greysfordays

if shesty gets his goal on a weeknight I swear I’m putting in PTO for the next day, I’ll be way too stoked to be functional in the morning

  27. jahauser

Vesey is the type of player Panarin thrives with. The KZV line definitely has some firepower.
