[Valji] Huberdeau ne savait pas que Walsh allait envoyer le tweet. S’il aurait préféré que Walsh n’envoie pas le tweet : « Ouais, je ne serais pas là [laughs]… Je serais sur le chemin du retour.
Huberdeau wasn't aware Walsh was going to send the tweet.
On if he would've preferred Walsh wouldn't have sent the tweet:
"Yeah, I wouldn't be be here [laughs]…I would be on my way home."#Flames

Also from the same twitter thread:
Huberdeau:
« We’re all frustrated…We can play better…it doesn’t come from me. It’s, like, my agent…it’s from him. It’s his account. He made that tweet, so that doesn’t reflect on me or on the guys. We all love each other. We’re a close team. »

Allan Walsh is acting like the parent that shows up at the playground to fight their kid’s battle for them. It’s cringey for everyone involved, and does nothing to defuse the situation.
In the 2020 playoffs Fleury got benched and Walsh proceeded to tweet that pic of the sword in his back. Fleury probably was disappointed about being benched but I also don’t think he wanted Walsh to tweet that.
Perhaps it’s the same case here. Maybe there is something up with Huberdeau but his agent tweeting about it on social media is not a good look. It doesn’t do anything to solve whatever issues there may be. Like if his agent is unhappy then talk with Sutter personally, don’t create more drama on twitter
Big growth opportunity for Huberdeau, here, to begin to take accountability for his own actions and how they reflect on his teammates. Make the right call, bud.
I actually remember hearing in Florida that he was the type of guy to step up when no one else wanted to. I hope he finds that courage again.
I’m not buying this. Huberdeau doesn’t want to throw anyone under the bus but Walsh doesn’t just do this stuff randomly. I’m absolutely willing to bet that they had a conversation at some point and Huberdeau expressed some frustrations with the team and Sutter and it’s just rattled around in Walsh’s brain until he finally said something.
I think it’s a wakeup call either way. Can’t really get much more disappointing either way.
Maybe Walsh charges his players extra fees if they want to make him the scapegoat for shit like this. Like sure, I’ll tweet how you feel and take all the blame, that’s an extra $200k per year please.
Of course he is going to say that. But make no mistake, his agent knows he is frustrated with Sutter or he wouldn’t have tweeted it.
That excellent summer blockbuster is starting to age poorly…
Love Huberdeau. However, Walsh can fuck himself what a narcissistic asshole.
Plausible deniability.
Walsh isn’t saying shit without his client being in the know.
Waive the no trade then.
