  1. Return is a 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick, Mikhail Abramov and Adam Gaudette.

Thought this was relevant since there has been a quite a bit of chatter about ROR coming back. I guess those rumors and discussions can be put to rest now.

Minnesota also receives a 4th round pick from Toronto. Leafs going all in. The pick is for retaining some of ROR’s salary.

Confused why Mild would help a division rival get a bigger haul for just a 4th?

  3. Rolley2001

Well, I suppose we can put the ROR rumours to rest…

Just setting up the inevitable upset where the Leafs bounce the Bruins.

Stupid fucking Minnesota facilitating this trade too. They are the middle man making the cash work. Joke of a franchise who can never ever compete decides to fuck everyone else for a 2025 4th round pick. Minnesota already had cap issues with the Suiter/Parise buyouts so they have pseudo punted on the season in my opinion by facilitating the trade eating money, as usual they wont be doing anything meaningful at the deadline. Good news is tomorrow nights blues game just got a little more favorable for us.

Toronto chooses to go the Florida route of last year. They will lose and I will enjoy every second of it. Always one of the highlights of the playoffs for me. Dubas knows this is his only shot and likely getting fired anyway with another first round exit. I hope Tampa takes a nice shit on Dubas’s grave once they bounce Toronto.

And yes I am irritated about this trade.

Hopefully O’Reilly doesn’t crash into a Hortons this time.

When I see these deals happen, it’s making irrationally worried about who we’re going to be able to get at the trade deadline. I’m sure Joe and Macfarland are figuring out if both EJ and/or Landry should be placed on LTIR… we can at least get a couple guys that way if so.

Edit: I have anxiety so that’s why I get irrationally worried over these types of things.

Blues will be garbage for good! Lets goooo!

  9. Appleanche

Tim Hortons stock is gonna tank on Monday..

Damn, the Blues are fucking gutting themselves. Now that team from the playoffs last year is missing Perron, Husso, Tarasenko, *and* O’Reilly.

Darren Helm killed the Blues lmao

I may be in the minority here but I’m glad we didn’t trade for ROR. Especially now seeing that price!

Still think Avs will probably go for Johnathan Towes.
Guys a faceoff monster and might help the team.

Just looking at RoR trade history and the Blues gave up Tage Thompson to get RoR originally. Wow.

  14. FunkySquareDance

Damn, Leafs going all in. Will it be enough to break the curse?

  15. daishi777

Wow the leafs overpaid. This is the kind of stuff that will gut a franchise after this year.

For 3mo of a guy whose been injured this year as lot.

That’s a lot of assets for a third line center (on that team) and a rental player. Toronto needed defense much more than they needed a forward especially since the goaltending isn’t going to be strong enough either even if that forward is sound defensively. If they make it past the murders row of the first round, they will be lucky to make it past round 2 or 3. Bruins, Lightning, and Canes all are likely going to be there.

Ultimately, I think the Leafs have mismanaged their assets once again and won’t be going far. Not a good year to be going all in out in the east.
