  1. Wow Jay, excuses much. This team is a mess..every other team has a 23 man roster..the Oil had 18 tonight. Bush league from the top down.

  2. Analysis of Nurse's defensive game tonight…he played 1 minute on defense and 20 minutes on left wing, right wing and center.

  3. After witnessing yet another brutally pathetic (and as usual) performance from the Edmonton Oilers D CORE (minus Vinny D), Mike Grier just got a little richer as his asking price just went up for Karlsson.

  4. Maybe switch Ceci and Barrie so you have a actual puck mover and a shutdown with kulak and ceci

  5. Pretty obvious they were showcasing Barrie and Yamo tonight. Only explanation to put them in the shootout. My guess is Mike Grier wanted to see how Yamo performed against the hottest team in the NHL. The only explanation why Holland never waited another game or 2 before inserting Yamo. Not the greatest of outcomes for Yamo and Holland. Barrie got a passing grade. Mike Grier's price just went up for Karlsson after sub par performances from JP and Yamo.

  6. Is it just me or dose this team suck in OT and SO now. It used to be automatic and now they are awful in extra time and why wouldn’t Woodcroft throw Kane out there on the SO I didn’t understand that.

  7. Sad defense. Can't blame Cambell as he worked his ass off. We can't just sit on leads and allow teams to take so much space entering the zone. Have to have some push back. The third period had no offense from the oil. The penalties were also very soft…maybe that 5 on 3 should of just been a 5 on 4 but still, can't blame it all on that powerplay. They need to learn to lock things down.

  8. Bringing in yamo to take Vinny and Holloway out literally cost them a regulation win in this game. What a horrible move from Holland

  9. Perfect start ,the 1st Period Pre-game Plan was bang-on the money and the Rangers had no reply. Until the 2nd when they adjusted at which point we could not reply on-the-fly to their only tangible adjustment we could not figure them out and ran out of time. This game was the polar opposite dynamically to the last game where the adjustments came late in the game for the Oilers as they slowly figured out their foe and were gaining momentum as the time ran down. To me the last 2 games were like shots well on target but just left and just right of the Bullseye. There is lots to work with here, one more quick adjustment 5 minutes into the 2nd period to snuff their pushback and the game ends as a win for the Oilers. Well done on many levels. Next game please.

  10. Nurse and Bouchard were horrendous and never let Leon to shoot in shootouts. His effort was atrocious

  11. Coaching is to blame for the sudden change in ot results, as soon as Woodcroft came in they got suddenly bad on 3v3

  12. Stop putting Draisaitl in the shootout , unless he’s getting a pass from McDavid he can’t do shootouts!

  13. Earth to Holland your a clown to send down Vinny make some trades your going to loss 97 and 29 Holland be like the leafs and go all in

  14. Olier fans can't understand why Holland is hanging onto JP for dear life. Holland just can't concede defeat where Jesse's contract is concerned. Jesse's contract and Holland's stubbornness to try and get something back for Jesse has been one of the most disruptive and chaotic components to the Edmonton Oilers in the 2022/2023 season. Think of all the incredible juggling Holland's had to do all year just to avoid sending JP down. Somehow a lightbulb went off in Holland's head and decided to bring Vinny up. One of the best decisions Holland's made all year. But then, again, like ground hog day, Holland hangs on to Jesse for dear life and sends Desharnais and Holloway back down just to make room for Jesse and Yammo. If Jesse and Yammo are not part of the trade package for Karlsson then you have to ask yourself, what in the world is Holland's obsession to try and get something back for JP and keep him in the line up? A player that had openly admitted he doesn't even think he's good enough to play in the NHL. Holland should have put JP on waivers months ago and now it's begging time. Begging someone to absorb the salary dump. Instead of the waiver wire months ago where he would have time to figure things out, Holland chooses to gamble big time and go down to the wire with Jesse's contract that is by far, next to Nurse's contract, one of the most disruptive contracts, in terms of the chaos it has caused up and down the Oiler line up in a single season, one of the worst contracts in Oiler history.

  15. Not sure why they sent down Day. He was there good luck charm. And he brings scoring with size. Yamm is just tiny and ineffective

  16. How many more interesting can you listen to the same thing after every game from the coach? "Well.. we were playing..they were playing..into the game..but their game was more playful, but we played and we will play.." The obvious problems with the coaching staff are a terrible, incompetent line-up of links and therefore a complete lack of results. To remove Mcdevid from the team and they would not have risen from the last line and this is definitely a problem of coaching. How many more games do the team need to lose so that it becomes obvious to the coach that Leon and Connor should play in the same link. The line-up of the other links and the chemistry of the players are just terrible. If Mcdevid does not decide, no one decides. It is so impossible to be able to adjust the game even of average players among themselves, it is necessary to try. Without a change of coach or his views on the game, there is nothing to wait for.

  17. Oilers need to get their coaching tactics on track, then start worrying about how the players are performing.
