While I wish Vinny could have been in the lineup I can see how projectile vomiting can be detrimental to playing (though it may also slow down opponents, is it considered a penalty to puke on a player?).

Fogey said it best in his post game interview today. The reason they aren't closing out and winning these games is because the forwards aren't coming back and helping out the defence. So it sounds like just trading players won't guarantee wins. The Oilers have much deeper systemic problems and until the forwards start playing both ends of the ice nothing will change. But this is nothing new, has been going on for years.

All I can say is when the teams get better Bouchard and Broberg are way overwhelmed. They need proven Dmen to win. Can they survive the Avs and Bruins the answer is NO.

I think the biggest bonus of getting Karlsson would be to put less pressure on the rest of the D to produce offence and focus more on defence.
Edmonton's goaltending has been sub par for years as well.
Doesn’t matter , even if you trade a get a good player , this team has to many holes to fix , soft, terrible defense, goaltending, coaching , and GM , just to much to overcome
Most oilers fans are sick and tired of watching oilers defences. Make a trade or rebuild coz this team is getting nowhere!
