Another great show Gil. Well some of us got our wish to see the kids play now. Atleast Barzy won’t figure skate and turn the puck over, if Lame can get the D to stay at home and Mayfield to stop taking stupid penalties the isles might be able to survive and not be embarrassed ! Lame should simplify their game, get the puck in the Ozone and then 2 guys to the net and let the others shoot !
honestly I dont want them to get in to the playoffs, because I dont want to see them absolutely destroyed in 4 straight games.
At this point, I'm kinda hoping they tank. Maybe we can get a great prospect. If Lou is smart and trades out those expiring contracts for more picks, maybe we can build up our organizational depth. Personally, I think the worst thing that can happen is we just miss the playoffs and have no way to build our team back up.
HELLO Gil. Isles pulled that win out of their asses on fri. because they know how to beat pens. By exposing their lousy d and goaltending and hitting their stars getting under their skin. Sorokin .911 sv. %. Jarry .821 sv. % tells the story of that win. Plus isles offense can be a force when both lee and nelson score. That doesn't happen all too often.
Then b's reminded isles of why getting into the playoffs would lead to a bad outcome-a quick exit. B's just toyed with isles. Isles got the break when pens, caps, fla, and wings all lost as well on sat. with only sabres winning and now are just three pts. behind. And durandeau in for barzal does nothing for isles offense and just shows how weak lou's recall system really is. I wonder where kane coming off of a hat trick is heading now? His two team list rags and leafs have already made their big moves for vt and o'reilly. I see a scenario where pens and caps and isles all miss the playoffs and fla., wings, or sabres get in. Fla can't do much. Det. wont hesitate to make a move and buff. can make a move too. The east landscape is gonna change in the next 11 days as lou makes his big 'depth' move. And Sat. should have answered the question should isles go for playoffs or not for lou? Good show.
We are so doomed. This is the best iteration of this team we have had and it still looks like garbage. Nelson, Lee, Palmieri Pageau, Parise, and the whole 4th line are not going to magically get any better, so how does the team improve for next season? Settle in, it's going to be a long 4-5 years.
If we are in trouble becouse Bailey dont play that tell you everything….this ,,TEAM" shud be broken ..Martin Beaily Cizikas Mayfield Lee JGP Palmeri Parise…..they all mast go if anybody want them … Lou is finish we don't need him he is 80 years old he is out of hockey for long time …..our fans they give you the best picture of this team …empty arena nobody watching… I watch game against Bruins and I feel embarrassing to be part of of this team(fan) ….like parents you like you kids to follow you team but no they are fans of other teams…..do you blame them? maybe better if they moved to Kansas city couple years ago maybe I be sleeping instead of watching your podcast at 4 oclock in the morning…..sorry Gill I am just frustrated 😤
It’s obvious a few of you play NHL23 on some game system and don’t live in reality, you know who you are. First, if you’ve watched more than 5 games you know who is producing night in and out, 2nd you can see who is there for a paycheck, 3rd you can see whose speed and skill can no longer provide what they had in the past. With that outta the way, now look at the players contracts, Lou dug himself, we’ll us the fans a big hole, it won’t be easy to get out of but it can be done and it won’t take a major overhaul. Bailey, Mayfield, Palmieri and Parisi need to go, some will get decent returns, others ehh. Clutter needs to retire, Lee should be traded, he’s slowed down and isn’t Capt material & a decent pick or kid might be gotten in return. If Pelech can go and a good return comes in, do it, same with Romanov, Montreal fleeced us good on that one. Keep the kids up and let them play. Keep 17 & 32 in the lineup to protect them and let them play, only way kids are gonna learn. It’s gonna be a semi rebuild but it won’t take 5 yrs, maybe 2 with a few trades by a new GM and for the love of the hockey Gods, 🔥 Lame Lambert !
