  1. Glad your back, let's look towards the trade deadline. We. Could possibly get first rounder for jt and a D man

  2. Make sense to trade him get more asset canucks can terminated his contract that's sighed Miller even not top 10 scoring misus 15 or other teams takes his contract

  3. New coach bounce. Saw a little turnovery play in last game while the rest of the team is playing with much better structure. Ouch, not the time to figure out how to keep the puck out of the net, as the Bomb for Bedard campaign is going great right now. Need to bring up Rathbone and Martin, that last game was way too scary for me. If management is considering trading Milsy better to do it sooner rather than later. Better put Beau on the third line and second PP too, he has had a bad habit of putting the puck in the net. Petey needs to go on the fourth line for the rest of the year so his next contract isn't so huge as well, and let Hogs come up and play on the first line with Dries, and first PP as well. It's good for Toch to get all these guys trained before next year, lol. It's the time to see what they got for next year.

  4. Miller's contract shouldn't be a negative. He got current market value and he's got a guaranteed AAV that gives cost certainty, so trading him for a 'bag of pucks' shouldn't even be in the conversation. On a horrible team and in a broken system, he's been a consistent 80+ points guy. He'd be a great piece on a team that's about to make a significant push for a Stanley Cup. We'd have to get a younger 2C in return, plus a pick. That's the way I see it.

  5. Trade Miller he's an absolute cancer, horrible defensively, only good in the o zone, turnovers are God dumn ridiculous

  6. Hated that they traded for him in 2019, resigning him was the worst idea since Messier

  7. You get rid of Miller even if all you get is a 7th rounder. As long as you don't have to give up a draft pick, you get rid of him asap. This is not the type of player that you want (on or off the ice). Sure, he might not be seen as a negative right now as he's been playing better offensively recently and EP and Boudreau came out to defend him (although I wouldn't even say what EP said was defending him). Did anyone watch the last game with the Flyers? Miller was very noticeable in giving the puck away a lot. He was lucky those grade A chances didn't end up in the Nucks net.

Guy is a cancer when they're losing and he's not performing. Get rid of him before his new contract kicks in or else his contract will look really really bad in a few years. The cap space from getting rid of him for a 7th is way more valuable than keeping this guy around. He's great for team tank this year (just like OEL and Myers and Stillman are great for team tank), but because of his upcoming contract and his personality, the sooner we get rid of him, the better.

  8. JT is a great hockey player.
But honestly, not trading him in the summer was already a mistake. His trade value will never be that high ever again

Now if we trade him after already having traded Bo is quite a slap in the face to fans

Extend miller, extend Boeser, trade Horvat because there is no cap space… then trade rumers for moving Miller and Boeser lol

  9. It's Early, But We NEED To Talk About JT Miller… (Vancouver Canucks News & Trade Rumours Today 2022 )
    (Thats the title… but it's 2023 )

  10. I disagree about Miller. a 0.9 PPG is perfect for a 8mil player. BUT his lack of defensive ability hinders the contract with the length. As well, i think why people not talking about him as much negatively is because of other major stories. (Like Bruce drama and just how poor we are)

  11. I can see St. Louis being the team to pull the trigger on Miller. With the holes left behind with O'Reilly and Tarasenko trades. Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

  12. J.T. Miller is a valuable hockey player, at the right price and for a team with an immediate competitive window. Even last year when he was on a 100-point pace, many have said that he is not of the right competitive window for this team and thus should be moved. That is even more true today for a team that really is in a full rebuild. I think trading him away while retaining 1-2 million would free up 6-7 million for the next seven years for the team, and that cap space alone is an asset the Canucks need to seriously consider, especially since I think the NHL cap is going to stay relatively flat going forward the next two, three years. Bringing back picks and prospects would be an added bonus, and getting a haul would be a steal of a deal that I don't think Rutherford and Allvin are capable of pulling.

  13. If another team knocks on the Canucks door for Miller and they don't get it done, I might have to egg the door. You can't have a "leader" on your team that walks back to the D zone after losing the puck.

  14. Charlie Munger has a good quote about a problem horse that fits well here… "the next time he is on his best behavior, sell him!"
