Canada watched it live. The Americans watched it on tape delay. Many Americans knew the outcome before the game started on ABC.

Fluke that only Americans care about. Time to let it go.
The American revisionism surrounding this is honestly insane.
For the actual hockey world, summit series was way bigger

The last time the Leafs made it to the second round? 🤣
I watched the movie, was really well done. Kurt Russell is a great actor.

Minnesota has never won the Stanley Cup but a team comprised of mostly Minnesotans won the biggest championship in the history of sports

One of the coolest guys I ever worked with was working ski-patrol at Lake Placid and managed to find his way into this game. I can’t imagine witnessing such an amazing part of history.

Was a fantastic movie and the game definitely was a huge factor in the NHL being what it is today.
As a Canadian I can’t imagine going 43 years without olympic gold though. That’s our definition of hell.

I watch the replay on YouTube, maybe once a year, as today’s NHL seems to have become too political since delayed Stanley Cup Run June 2020.

Maybe I’ll watch that movie again today.
