Bull shit. At least wasn’t a suspension

  2. BuffaloSoldier11

That should have been four minutes, end of story

Edit: bad Buffalo. There is no double minor for cross checking

  3. SimplySolace

    Thankfully not unnecessarily suspended

  4. I’m glad that’s all the did. Unfortunately you can never tell with them what they’ll do.

    The wheel was right again!

I’m surprised he didn’t get 1 game for being a “repeat offender”

I am fine with the 5 minute major and ~~match penalty~~ Game Misconduct (Thanks /u/Wheresthesass ). Thats what should have been called, imo.

When you compare it with the absolute mountain of non calls and wrong calls, though, it was too extreme.

all things considered, I am ok with the 5k fine. No suspension. If there was a suspension, it would have been one of the most unjust suspensions i have seen.

Overall it’s seems slightly harsh given the missed calls, but I think it’s appropriate. I don’t think Larkin caught Oshie that high intentionally, but you have to be responsible for your stick and that play was dangerous

  9. jfstompers

    I’m shocked he didn’t get a game,

  10. Wheresthesass

Seems right to me. Oshie wasn’t taken out of the game and it was clearly an unintentional (though reckless) act from Larkin.

A fine in addition to the game misconduct is about right, in my opinion.

  11. thsmchnkllsfcsts

Fair, not worthy of suspension but definitely reckless. Just sucks because we know the Boss’s history of not getting calls getting 2 handed in the neck.

  12. YellowShorts

Thank god. Never know with DOPS.

Shouldn’t have even been a game misconduct but glad there’s no suspension

  13. xenonwarrior666

It’s a little excessive considering the player didn’t even get hurt.

That being said I’d much rather the fine over a suspension

  14. Straight_String3293

He can send the tab to Benn and Huberdeau. Both in the same to him without so much as a penalty

  15. NihilisticPollyanna

Well, I was wrong. They did fine him.

At least he’s not suspended, which would be infinitely worse.

  16. praisedawings247

Fine… Stevie can add and extra 5k to your new contract and we can sign it, yeah?

  17. Wrath_Of_Aguirre

Just glad he’s okay to suit up tomorrow. Also glad it didn’t cost us a win.

  18. abassassasssin

All that i care about is no extension. Thank god

  19. HercHuntsdirty

It’s ok, he can take that out of his $9M AAV deal

  20. Red_eyed_red_wing

This league is a joke. Benn’s crosscheck that put larkin in the hospital wasnt even reviewed and they fine him for that!?!?! Even after kicking him from the game.

  21. I’m totally disgusted by the absolute inconsistency of nhl dops

  22. jaz-007

Wow, TJ Oshie must have died. I don’t remember Jamie Benn getting fined for ending Dylan’s season.

  23. Not bad. I was expecting an absurd suspension like what Ras got earlier this year.

  24. dkyguy1995

Dude wtf? You can see him instantly know what happened and feel bad for it. Is getting thrown out the game not enough? Just annoying because I know Larkin doesn’t have bad feelings for Oshie or anyone on the Caps

  25. pfated64

If you watch the replay close enough you can see Larkin bring his stick up as Oshie’s stick comes in, but at the last second Oshie gets his stick back and Larkin is now stick to face instead of stick on stick. Oshie is just as much to blame for this as Larkin. But fine, just take the 5k fine and still got the W. And move on to NYR.

Glanced at the headline and thought it said Larkin signed $5 (as in millions) and I was about to shout with joy at the Yzerplan
