Well deserved. Someone on the broadcast team was saying the other day that his all-around game is well beyond his years.
The logic behind the Meier trade is that our window is now, and the Sharks’ window is a few years away at least. So we should be trading them players/picks/prospects that will make an impact a few seasons from now. Trading anyone from our roster who helps us win *now* (like Dawson Mercer) defeats the purpose.
Anyone know if we are able to extend him at the end of the year? If so I’d do it as soon as possible.

One of the most versitle guys in the lineup. I feel like usually when you have a guy who bounces between center and wing, it’s because he’s not good enough at either to stick, but I’m comfortable with him anywhere in the top-9. I’m just always a little surprised his numbers aren’t higher. He’s only on pace for 50 points (23g, 27a) this season, but he feels like he’s a better player than that.
What a stud! What sheer luck that that hit on the ENG didn’t ruin history in the making tho. LGDM!!
