Best presser all year from him. It’s about to boil over.

Don’t disagree in any way. But you as coach bear some of that responsibility as well, Chief. Why can’t you get the best out of these guys? Spoken like a coach who’s lost the room and is on his way out.

I believe the contracts of 18 and 25 is ar the root of our failure of a season. I don’t see either of them having the strength of character to mature enough to become leaders or to play with enough grit. DA made this bed. Reward failure. Shit on hard work and leadership. Hope I’m wrong.

Well, the team was struggling and then your boss traded 4 dudes off the roster including the captain. I get that you’re frustrated but throwing the players under the bus isn’t going to help, or make them want to work for you.

LMAO that’s your team my dude. Way to lose the locker room.

Wow watching the full thing makes me feel bad for Chief. Not only does he have a dumpster fire of a season to deal with, he has to deal with being asked over and over again why we suck. Even after two of our best players are traded away and the team is clearly not making the playoffs he has to explain again why we suck.

Definitely agree that Kyrou and Thomas seem to be phoning it in since dad was traded. Hope they realize that their big boy contracts came with increased expectations, even if the plan is to lose as much as we can for a better pick.

Damn he dropped the mic at the end lol. So Chief clearly called out Kyrou/Thomas. Said young guys, Binner, Buch all did good things. Only people left are D and Saad/Scheen, right? Are Saad/Schenn in the young guy category or the best players not performing category?

I wish Berube would say what he thinks they’re doing wrong instead of « not playing hard enough ». As someone who has very little knowledge of actual hockey strategy it’d be nice to hear what it is exactly that they’re not doing. It feels incongruence when I see Thomas drive the net in overtime and then see « not playing for the team ». So obviously there’s other stuff that’s happening but I just don’t know what it is

This is a weird situation cause like… I agree with Brerube but also we’re clearly in tank mode and want a better pick. Are we really gonna be mad that the players aren’t selling out every game?

The team is smart enough to realize that we don’t need to win the rest of the year, so they aren’t going to beat themselves up to do it. The worse we finish this year, the better we get in the off season. Why are sports reporters trying to get some accountability after the fire sale?

IDK, man. You can’t un-play this card. There’s not much worse you can say about a player in a team sport, and once it comes out of the mouth of the coach, it’s fair game for anybody in the media, or any fans, to say it. write it, tweet it, whatever. That’s going to follow these guys for the rest of their careers. It’s a really quick way to make things toxic for everybody.
