There were some 1st round picks involved as well, correct? 23 and 24, iirc. Have to wait and see how those picks turn out in a few years. But for the time being, it’s a hell of a trade for us

Gotta see what those two first round picks become

If only we had this Hagel in last years SCF. I think it just took time to gel but man he’s been fantastic this year.

Now do the Joseph trade. Even juicier

Remember we got two 4ths too. Not as significant as two firsts of course but the difference between a late 1st and a fourth isn’t as big as people think. It was a win win deal for sure with Chicago rebuilding but the odds either of those picks make as much of an impact as Hagel is low.

The Blackhawks are also hot garbage so the -23 doesn’t shock me.

Payed a lot to get him, and he was pretty useless last postseason. We’ll see.

Nah man! He’s Hegel to me lmao.
Ok- so the spelling ain’t right but so what. Some clerk on Ellis island fucked his name up maybe.
Hegel- 19th century philosopher responsible for outlining a grand theory of history as the play for power between the rulers and the ruled. Influenced almost all meaningful 19th and early 20th centuries of philosophy both left and right. Make of it what you will. But I chuckle.
Now we need a Descartes, a Nietzsche and a Locke.
For real tho- it’s a good trade for us.

Hagel and Paul have been AAA pickups

It was a great trade regardless of what those 2 1st round picks turn out to be. Even if those picks turn out to be someone very good, we still might’ve not taken them had we kept those picks. It’s impossible to know what value they would really hold even with hindsight, but the Bagel man is great value and we know that for a fact!
