Last year we went to western conference so Im trying to think about how much better or worse the team is now compared to last year:
Now we are without Brunson, Dorian and Dinwiddie which we had last year's play off run, but what we do have now that we didn't have last year is Kyrie, Wood and a much more developed Josh Green, also I think Hardy is a dark horse that may deliver a lot this spring if we are lucky. I may be forgetting some players, but when I put it like this it feels like we should have about as good of a team this year as we had last year.
It may be optimism speaking but I dont think its unrealistic to assume that Kyrie can fill the shoes of Brunson, Wood can fill the shoes of Dinwiddie(atleast in scoring baskets and defense) and Green can fill the shoes of Dorian kind of
I predict that McGee and Wood begin to shine the rest of the way…mainly because of Kyrie's amazing skills and the constant threat of an unstoppable Luka. I want no part of the Nuggets or Suns in the first round. Those two will survive the first round so we'll likely play one of them in round 2. Not sure this team can handle either one unless the Mavs defense improves consistently. We can't outscore either one.

Luka doncic will surpass LeBron at everything other than the scoring record. He’s already been a better play maker a better rebounder and a more versatile scorer than LeBron was in his first 5 years. Luka has also faced much much tougher competition in the west than LeBron did his first years in the east. Lebron also didn’t make the playoffs his first two years luka made it his 2nd season had much better averages played solo vs kawhi and PG and kawhi was coming off a championship and still put up one of the most impressive fights I’ve ever seen by a 20 year old kid in the playoffs.
